According to The Hollywood Reporter, the war over the film between Fox and Warner Bros. has been settled.
The agreement, finalized late last night, states that Warner Bros. must fork over a chunk of change (including old development costs, plus interest) and a portion of the film's theatrical revenues to its rival studio. Reports estimate the cash figure at $1.5 million, while other sources say Warner Bros. might be ceding as much as 8.5 percent of the box office receipts.
Fox will also receive a piece of future sequels or spin-offs.

The future of Watchmen has become a bit murky.
According to The New York Times, 20th Century Fox has won its court case against Warner Bros. The former studio has claimed it owns the rights to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel, which director Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. were planning to release in March.
In a surprise ruling - originally, the dispute was set to be settled at a trial set for late January - Judge Gary A. Feess concluded that 20th Century Fox owns a copyright interest and has the right to distribute Watchmen itself, having acquired the rights to the graphic novel in the late 1980s.
“Fox owns a copyright interest consisting of, at the very least, the right to distribute the ‘Watchmen’ motion picture,” the ruling said.
Judge Feess advised Fox and Warner to look toward a settlement or an appeal.
“The parties may wish to turn their efforts from preparing for trial to negotiating a resolution of this dispute or positioning the case for review,” he said.
A new trailer for Watchmen was released last night.
Rumors are you can see it prior to many Quantum of Solace showings this weekend. Or can check it out below!
The more we see of Malin Akerman in the role of Watchmen's Silk Spectre, the more excited we are for this movie.
But does the actress herself feel as passionately about her tight-fitting costume in the film as we do?
“It was really interesting,” Akerman told MTV of the Silk Spectre outfit. “You know, latex sticks to your body, it sticks like a glove. The funny thing about it is because the costume was so revealing and so form fitting; we went through a few fittings just trying to get bubbles out.
There’s all these issues that you never expect because it’s not very often that you make costumes out of latex. We had a professional that works with latex all the time trying to help us out. It was an interesting process and the outcome was beautiful but uncomfortable [laughs].”
We might go see Watchmen for Silk Spectre alone.
The hype surrounding Watchmen is growing stronger.
Here are a series of new posters for the graphic-novel based movie. It comes out on March 6.
While James Bond followers are excited for Quantum of Solace to premiere this Friday, Watchmen fans are psyched for another reason:
The second trailer for the graphic novel-based film will debut prior to the movie.
Dark Horizons had a chance to ask Watchmen director Zack Snyder for his take on the initial preview. Here's what he had to say about it:
"I just saw the final version of it this morning... it's a little bit more story, a teeny bit more like a full trailer. This is much more like 'someone's picking off costume heroes'. You'll get a sense of the characters plight you know, 'we were supposed to make the world a better place... what happened to the American Dream'."
Justice is coming to all of us. No matter what we do.
