Tyrese Gibson Talks Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Tyrese Gibson will be returning to the Transformers franchise as Master Sgt. Epps in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The actor spoke to MovieWeb about the summer of 2009 blockbuster.

"I have never done nothing in my life, or been a part of anything in my life, where I feel like every man, woman, and child in the world is going to see something that I've been in," said Gibson, "And it's a lot of pressure. It is something...I don't know. It's just a lot of pressure.

It's like someone telling you that, while it might be a messed up comparison, a tsunami is going to hit in seven months. And you can see the tsunami before it comes. How do you prepare for that? That's how I look at Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

There may be no date set to begin shooting on the Jonh Singleton-directed A-Team movie - but when the former teleivision show is adapted to the big screen, you can expect Tyrese Gibson to be a part of it.

And the former model has made no secret about the role he'll take on.

“It’s B.A. Baracus,” Gibson confirmed to MTV News. “I haven’t officially signed on — everything is still on standby — but the conversations coming my way feel right. I’m gonna try to put my touch on [the character]. I mean, I got the muscles!”

Those muscles will be on full display in Tyrese's next movie, Death Race. It opens on August 22.

Tyrese Gibson certainly knows how to drive a fast car.

The former model got his acting break in The Fast and the Furious. Now, he's back for Death Race, an action-packed thrilled that co-stars Jason Statham.

Gibson shared his thoughts on the film with MoviesOnline:

How did you get involved with Death Race?
Paul reached out and said that he kinda had me in mind for it, but he didn't give me the part. What ended up happening is we met up at a hotel. And he ended up slipping and giving me the part without knowing. So my people said, "Tyrese, the director wants to meet you but he hasn't determined if he wants to go with you or not. So he'll let us know a couple days after the meeting if he's gonna go with you or not."

So at the whole dinner, I'm on edge. You're trying to put the good impression and all that. "Yeah, man, you know how this'll be great. I'd love to be a part of this." But where he slipped up at is he pulled his laptop out and while he was talking to me, he say, "You know, so these are the areas that we're gonna be filming at." So I'm like, "Oh, sh*t. You said we." Then he said, "This is the car that I have you in mind to drive in."
