The Incredible Hulk Spoiler: Michael Kenneth Williams Ready to Fight!

Michael Kenneth Williams is best known for his role as Omar on HBO's acclaimed series The Wire. But this actor also plays a part in the upcoming Edward Norton vehicle, The Incredible Hulk.

Can he talk about his role in that comic book adaption?

"Not really, but I will say that I go toe-to-toe with the green guy himself. We're definitely face-to-face. I'll leave it at that," Williams said to IGN recently.

The Incredible Hulk stars Norton, who also wrote the film. Williams had the following to say about working with the star

"It was a blast working with Ed Norton. He's from Baltimore, so he really felt passionate about The Wire [which is set in Baltimore] and what we did on there as a whole."

William Hurt is General Ross

2309869_10.jpg William Hurt has enjoyed a long, respected career. With the exception of Mr. Brooks, that is.

The veteran actor recently opened up about his villainous role in The Incredible Hulk, the summer blockbuster starring Edward Norton in the lead role that was occupied by Eric Bana in 2003's disappointing Hulk:

"I'm General Ross, father of the paramour of Bruce (Banner) and the nemesis - so-called conflicted nemesis - of The Hulk," Hurt said at a press conference for his latest film, Vantage Point. "He wants Hulk's power but is humiliated by Hulk's conscience, which he actually sees -- and occasionally recognizes -- is actually more developed than his own, even though he's a patriot and a warrior for his country.

He's sacrificed immensely for that purpose, but at the expense of, at times, all of his humanity, which he occasionally recovers glimpses of."

The Incredible Hulk opens nationwide on June 13.

Edward Norton on His Version of The Incredible Hulk

Edward Norton stars in The Incredible Hulk, hitting theaters this June.

And the talented actor wants to make one thing clear: this version is nothing like the past film, starring Eric Bana, about the green, angry super hero.

"First off it's utterly unrelated to that film," Norton said in this month's Total Film magazine, as relayed by The Sun. "This is in no way a response to it or picking up from it."

The actor compared his version of The Incredible Hulk to the way Chris Nolan redid the Batman franchise with Batman Begins.

"I think like Chris Nolan and those guys did with Batman, we just said: 'We're going to start completely with our own version of this myth or saga,'" Norton said.

So, will there be multiple an Incredible Hulk 2 or 3?

"To me the whole thing was to envision it in multiple parts We left a lot out on purpose. It's definitely intended as chapter one."

The Incredible Hulk Director Dishes on New Villains

The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier says his film will provide a "fresh start" for the Marvel icon's movie career, and that it will be "more comic book-based and TV show-based" than Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk.

In an interview with WizardUniverse.com, Leterrier also spoke about the film's villains, Abomination (Tim Roth) and General "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt, who replaces Sam Elliott in the role).

Norton/Hulk

"Obviously, General Ross is the villain, so he had to be in it," Leterrier said. "But the Abomination, Emil Blonsky, was who Marvel wanted to put in this chapterâ€"the first chapter of our new sagaâ€"because he's the most famous. He's an enemy that can actually threaten the Hulk."

The filmmaker added:

"It's very important for me that there is a danger. When Bruce Banner is Hulk, I didn't feel in Ang Lee's Hulk that there was any threat. He was invincible. So with Abomination there's actually a monster that can, you know, kill him when he's in the Hulk form."

The Incredible Hulk opens June 13, 2008.

Lou Ferrigno Praises The Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton

Lou Ferrigno is okay with the fact that the iconic super hero he portrayed in the late 1970s has been remade into a movie. Twice.

Lou FerrignoIn fact, he has nothing but praise for the latest incantation.

"I was in the movie. I just finished filming," Ferrigno told MTV. "It's a spectacular ovie. Very impressive."

Ever since 1977, when he began playing the character in a famous television series, Ferrigno has had a lot of time to ruminate on The Incredible Hulk.

And he says the new movie's star, Edward Norton, shares a similar obsession.

"We talked about it. I believe he rewrote the script because he's very involved with the character," Ferrigno said. "He's not just doing another movie, he wanted to be involved with the character. I think that's going to bring it to the next level."

Ferrigno went on to give Norton and the production his highest seal of approval, saying the work they were doing on the film will "be like the TV series."

"[Ed actually] reminds me a lot of Bill Bixby," Ferrigno said, referencing the actor who played Banner in the series. "He has a similar physique, similar personality. Ed is a very fine actor and it adds tremendous credibility for him to be involved with the movie."

Tim Roth Cast as Villian in New Incredible Hulk Movie

The ManIn June 2008, a new version of The Incredible Hulk hits theaters. Oddly enough, it has nothing to do with the disastrous film from a few years ago that starred Eric Bana.

In the upcoming flick, Edward Norton has already signed on to star as Bruce Banner - and we just found out against whom he'll be squaring off: the oversized adversary Abomination; and Tim Roth will play the villain's alter ego, Emil Blonsky.

Variety says Roth is joining Norton and Liv Tyler in the Louis Leterrier-directed film, which is being financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures on June 13, 2008.

Blonsky is a KGB agent who deliberately exposes himself to the gamma rays that caused Banner to morph into the Hulk. Blonsky has upped the dosage, making him larger and stronger than the Hulk, but unable to change back to human form. He blames Banner for his problem, and makes his best efforts to destroy the Hulk.
