Jamie King Confirms Sin City 2

According to Jamie King, a Sin City sequel is definitely in the works.

Here's what the actress had to say about the follow-up, when asked by Collider:

Frank Miller just finished the script. I was with him the other night. He just finished it and the thing is…I think when Sin City came out it was such a big hit for the studio but the studio is frustrating…sometimes studios are awesome because they have a great vision for something, but then they want to do weird things with the second one.

Robert didn’t want to go down that route, so we’ve just be waiting till somebody knocked some sense into them, where we can do it the way we want to do it. None of the filmmakers or the actors were willing to sacrifice doing it any other way other than what we wanted to do it. I’m hoping we’ll do it sometime this year. But you know how movies are…

I remember I was with Robert and he said we’re going in two months. I was like okay, we’ll have to work out everybody’s schedule. But then it got pushed. So you never really know with movies. It happens when it happens.

Mickey Rourke: Not Interested in Sin City 2

With the career of Mickey Rourke on a major upswing, following critical acclaim for his lead role in The Wrestler, this is surprising news:

Asked by SuperheroHype.com about repirising his role as Marv in Sin City 2, the veteran actor replied:

"I'm not interested in that right now. That's not a reality right now. It's pissing in the wind... There's different factions going different directions there. I don't know. That's three hours of make up and I'm claustrophobic, so I'm going to have to work something out."

It looks as though Marv will not be a part of any Sin City sequel.

Frank Miller Confirms Sin City 2 Script

Sin City 2 Update

In a recent Q&A session with Frank Miller touched on Sin City 2. Here's what the director had to say on the topic:

I can't talk about my projects, because I don't believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong. But I can tell you that I'm very close to begin 'Sin City 2' with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we'll be back in action.

CS: How long until we get "Fantastic Four 3"?
Alba: I have no idea. I know the writers strike and the impending actors strike has kind of put a wrench in everything production wise. That film takes a lot of prep, a good six months of prep and about six months to shoot. With the strike, I think, maybe it's put on hold.Read the full interview with Alba now.
