Sex and the City Sequel Spoilers: Big Cheating on Carrie?

While certain rumors have questioned Chris Noth's involvement in the upcoming Sex and the City movie sequel, newly-leaked plot imply that his character of Big plays a key role in the film.

According to sources, he and Carrie aren't on the best of terms in the follow-up flick.

"Their marriage is going to face lots of challenges," an insider told MSNBC. "Big will be tempted by a younger colleague. It’s a juicy role for whoever they wind up casting."

Also considerd as a storyline? A pregnancy for Carrie. Reportedly, filming will partly take place in London.

Will Big be kissing someone else in the next Sex and the City movie?

Will Aidan Appear in the Sex and the City Sequel?

With confirmation of a sequel to last summer's Sex and the City movie, rumors are swirling about possible storylines.

For example, might Aidan make an appearance?

John Corbett, who stars on Showtime's The United States of Tara, told Access Hollywood he'd be up for a cameo: "If something came my way, I'd jump on it."

Of course, considering his character was last seen walking around with another woman's baby, Corbett suspects that "Aidan's come and gone... I think it's really more about the girls and Carrie and Big now, so I don't think there's a place for him in there."

The only other movie currently booked for that weekend is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

New Tone Expected for Sex and the City Movie Sequel

No script exists for the eventual sequel to Sex and the City: The Movie.

However, the movie's writer and director, Michael Patrick King, told E! that fans should not expect anything as dramatic as Carrie being left at the altar.

“In the last movie, I thought [the fans] wanted to see an epic and violently tragic love story, and drama, but I don’t think you go to that candy store twice,” King said. “You can’t try to do what you did already, so you come up with a different tone that you like.”

Evan Handler Speaks on Sex and the City Sequel

All four leading ladies have signed on for the Sex and the City movie sequel.

But what about the men?

Evan Handler, who portrays Charlotte's husband Harry Goldenblatt, is worried that his character will never see the light of day in the upcoming follow-up.

"They could kill me off before the movie even starts," the actor said to E! Online, adding that he is yet to receive word about his status. "It's always possible that Harry has had a massive coronary and Charlotte is set free."

Would Handler want to appear in the sequel if asked?

"I'd love to. It was a blast," he said. "Being involved with something that got so much attention and so much adoration was great. Whatever needs to be worked out is so far out of my hands, I hope they work it out. I hope they want me to be in it, and I hope schedule-wise I can."

John Corbett Considers Role in Sex and the City Sequel

Might John Corbett return as Aidan Shaw in the inevitable Sex and the City sequel?

The actor was recently asked that question and seemed to salivate at the thought of joining the franchise.

"I’d relish that moment more than you can ever imagine," Corbett said. "There may even be a murder involved. It’s payback. I think Mr. Big deserves it. It’d make a great ending to the movie."

He's kidding. We hope.

Sex and the City Movie Sequel Update: 2010 Shoot Planned

We're gonna go out on a limb and assume that most readers don't mind our constant updates on a Sex and the City movie sequel.

Star Sarah Jessica Parker recently expounded on the possibility, telling MTV that filming will likely get underway in the summer of 2010. Here are highlights from the interview:

MTV: Where do we stand on a sequel today?

Parker: We are talking about it. We've had very general conversations about the idea. That's the big hurdle: the idea. The studio is very enthusiastic, which is lovely and seductive. We're at the place where [writer/director] Michael [Patrick King] has a wealth of stories so now it's, "We think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it's the right thing to do?" That's challenging. I would do these forever but is it right for the audience? Is this the story that we can tell well? These are the questions I have to ask myself or I'm not being fair to the franchise. That's where we are.

MTV: Would you shoot it next summer?
Parker: I think it's a realistic timetable. That's when we'd start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.

Kim Cattrall Confirms Sex and the City Movie Sequel

No shocker here, but still movie news worth reporting:

During an interview on Great Britain's The Paul O'Grady Show, Kim Cattrall confirmed that there will be a Sex and the City movie sequel.

"Yes, there will be a sequel," she told her interviewer, who was actually Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

The original Sex and the City movie grossed $153 million. When asked in September about the prospects of a follow-up, star Sarah Jessica Parker said:

"It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it."

Sounds like a story is in the works.

Stars Fuel Sex and the City Sequel Rumors

Here's the latest on Sex and the City sequel rumors:

Sarah Jessica Parker told Us Weekly earlier this week that she and writer Michael Patrick King will "have that conversation sooner rather than later" about the possibility of a second movie in the franchise.

"It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it," the actress said. "We've been really lucky at this point. We’ve been in people’s good graces for a long time, and we take that very seriously. So that’s the biggest challenge, the story."

Sex and the City Stars

Cynthia Nixon, meanwhile, said has a few ideas for her character.

"I would love to see her and Carrie and Charlotte and Samantha all go off on some wild mad cap adventure somewhere," she said.

And what about Ms. Jones?
"The sky is the limit," Kim Cattrall said. "I love Samantha single - she has way too much fun."

Count on it, readers: another Sex and the City movie is all but assured.
