Will Russell Brand appear in Pirates of the Caribbean 4, as rumors have stated?

Access Hollywood asked the actor that question. His reply:

"There's been some talk of doing [Pirates of the Caribbean 4]," Russell told Billy Bush. "But, I've got eight other things to do [including] Get Him To The Greek with Judd Apatow... So I don't know if there'll be time to be a pirate, I've got enough of that in me private life."

In the Apatow comedy, Brand will reprise his character Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Russell Brand has been making headlines these days for possibly starring in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

But that's far down the line.

For now, the British actor has reportedly agree to star in a remake of Arthur, the 1981 comedy that starred Dudley Moore.

The original film followed a drunken playboy rascal that is set to inherit a fortune if he marries an heiress his family believes will make something out of him.

As rumors have stated, Russell Brand might appear alongside Johnny Depp in the next installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise?

But when MTV asked the actor about that possibility, Brand didn't give an indication in either direction.

“I’ve seen some talk about that matter but I think they’re still writing the script,” he said, jokingly adding: “I am having a skull and crossbones tattooed on each of my nipples in anticipation of the plotline. I just hope it doesn’t affect my other work in Jane Austen adaptations.”

The rumor have been floating around for weeks. Though it appeared to be shot down recently, Great Britan's The Sun is reporting that the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star is in the middle of negotiating a contract to star opposite Johnny Depp:

"[The actor] is thrashing out a deal to appear in Pirates of The Caribbean 4 — as Captain Jack Sparrow's brother," source said. "The deal to play Jonathan, younger brother of Johnny Depp's character, could be worth $5 million."

Russell Brand sure does look like he's related to Captain Jack Sparrow, doesn't he?
