A New Quantum of Solace Movie Poster

What do you think of the following Quantum of Solace movie poster?

We like it, but let's get real: we'd be first in line to see Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko no matter what.

Olga Kurylenko Speaks on Quantum of Solace Character

Having just heard from Gemma Arterton, here's an interview with Olga Kurylenko about her character in the next James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.

Tell us a little bit about Camille.
Olga Kurylenko: She is a strong, feisty, independent woman. She is out there on her mission, driven by revenge.

Camille

How deep is her relationship with Bond?
Kurylenko: Well in the beginning they come as opponents, but at a certain point they have to collaborate. They go through a lot of things together.

How did you get the role?
Kurylenko: First I went for general casting in Paris, then I got invited for an audition in London, then I did the final audition with Daniel [Craig]. I just worked very hard. I worked non-stop with an accent coach because I have to speak with a South American accent, as she's from Bolivia.

Gemma Arterton Reveals a Quantum of Solace Spoiler

Gemma Arterton PicDon't worry: this isn't exactly a monumental Quantum of Solace spoiler.

But Gemma Arterton was asked by IGN about whether her character and James Bond at least get to first base. Here's the exchange:

To what extent is your character a real Bond girl? Do you get to kiss Bond?
Gemma Arterton: Yes, I do. Though I don't know if I'm allowed to say that. I'm actually an agent and I work with him, though I think I'll automatically be called a Bond girl. But in that way I suppose you could call M a Bond girl. She's very typically Fleming because in the last Bond, and this Bond with Olga [Kurylenko's] character Camille, they're very independent and strong women out there for themselves.

But my character's very, very cute. It's nice because these Bond's are so different - there's something much more edgy about them, and my character's like an homage to the '60s Bond girls, which I love.

Check out what else Arterton has to say now.

Mathieu Amalric Dishes on Quantum of Solace Character

While Mathieu Amalric did not share his thoughts on the title of the next James Bond movie - Quantum of Solace? Really? - the actor did recently open up to IGN about the role he'll be playing in it...

Tell us a little bit about your character?
Mathieu Amalric: We've only just started shooting and at the moment I'm doing a lot of rehearsing for the stunts, which means there might be a fight. Sometimes the villain sends his bodyguard, but this time, there is a fight.

It's awkward because, what I like when I discover James Bond films is not to know anything, so it would be disgraceful for the public if I tell you who this guy is because it's part of the suspense.

Mathieu Amalric Pic

Look for Mathieu Amalric in Quantum of Solace.

Can you tell us what kind of villain he is?
Amalric: Well there are a lot of villains around today. We are all villains, no? When you see Casino Royale there's the fantasy of Bond, but it's also realistic â€" it could happen. It's not a villain on a secret island who wants to destroy the world - it's more complicated than that.

For example, what's happening in economics today - where are the villains? We don't even know. They are more like a gas - you don't know where it is. Before you had something to help you look like a villain - a jaw full of metal, an eye that bleeds - something, but I don't.

A Few Words from the Quantum of Solace Producer

Daniel Craig PhotoIGN recently conducted an interview with Michael G. Wilson, producer of Quantum of Solace. Here are highlights:

How do you find your villains in the modern world?
Michael G. Wilson: There are plenty of villains to go around. With the last one, we were thinking about terrorism in the sense of people who finance it. So we dealt with it a bit there. Basically, an hour after the last film ended, this film starts, and it continues where that left off, with Bond's story.

Was it easier to find villains in the days of the Cold War?
Wilson: Well there might have been bad Russians, but they weren't representative of the Russian people. Cubby was always careful not to take on those political issues because I think they foresaw the day when we could release in Russia, and Russia's becoming one of our big markets now. I think if you're in the entertainment industry, you aren't out to make any enemies.

Can you talk a little bit about where you will be shooting?
Wilson: We go from London to Panama, Peru, Northern Chile, Italy and Austria, then we are back here again. So we have the travelling circus going a lot of places this time.
