Anyone who buys a ticket for Nights in Rodanthe knows exactly what he or she (who are we kidding? It's obviously "she") is getting into.

There will be teary admissions. Emotions run amok. Some sort of forced, romantic setting. The movie is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, after all.

In our opinion - and in our complete Nights in Rodanthe review - there the setting was simply too phony to create any real emotion or sentimentality. But that may be precisely what many women out there are after.

Consider yourselves warned, fellas.

The last time a Nicholas Sparks novel was adapted for the big screen, every woman in America was treated to her new favorite movie of all-time, The Notebook.
