Earlier this week, cameras caught a pair of the sequel's stars getting ready to shoot a scene.

Jamie Campbell-Bower has joined the cast of New Moon.
The British actor, best known for his role in Sweeney Todd, will portray Caius, the leader of the Volturis, a group of vampires in Italy.
Campbell-Bower joining Dakota Fanning, who is also playing a member of the Volturi in the movie. It's scheduled for a November 20 release.
Noot Seear has landed the role of Heidi in New Moon.
If you're unfamiliar with her... you aren't alone.
Seear is a Canadian model that was styled as the Mona Lisa for Yves Saint Laurent’s 1998 ad campaign. Her runway and advertising credits include Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Vera Wang and Pantene Pro-V.
AnnaLynne McCord, of 90210 fame, was rumored for the role last month.
In the book, Heidi is described as a vampire vixen that is "not only the fisherman, but also the bait."
Summit Entertainment has announced that a quintet of Native American/First Nation actors will join Taylor Lautner as members of the wolf pack in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
The lucky actors that have landed these roles are:
Werewolf characters, especially Lautner's Jacob Black (pictured), will figure prominently in New Moon. Look for it in theaters on November 20.
The rumors are now fact: Dakota Fanning will star in New Moon.
Entertainment Tonight, among other news outlets, has confirmed that the young actress will sink her teeth into the role of the young vampire Jane in the sequel to Twilight.
The movie begins shooting on March 23 and is scheduled for a November 20 release.

The studio has already released the first artwork and/or logo for the movie, though. It looks like the follow-up may be billed as "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," in order to emphasize that it's part of a triology.

The 90210 star is dating Kellan Lutz, the young actor that portrayed Emmett in Twilight and is set to return for the film's sequel, New Moon.
Now, rumors are swirling that McCord - who has also appeared on Nip/Tuck - will take on the small role of Heidi in New Moon.

According to the book, Heidi is a "fisher" that brings humans to the Volturi vampires to devour. She's also known as "bait" due to the way she uses her looks to attract humans. In her brief appearance in the novel, Bella describes Heidi as having "exceptional, unforgettable" beauty.
Sources told E! that McCord has auditioned for the role.
"It's not a big part," said an insider. "Heidi would be more like a cameo."
Considering the success of the Twilight soundtrack, fans are already asking questions about which songs might be included on the CD for the movie's sequel, New Moon.
According to E! Online, director Chris Weitz has hinted that he may be open to a more experimental soundtrack than the one featured in Twilight.
"I think that might be the way it's going," said Marisa Baldi, West Coast partner for Zync, a music brokerage that funneled two songs onto the Twilight soundtrack. "I get the vibe that the guy is a little more into being surprised...everything is really open, and he wants to hear a lot of cool music."
Here's what music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas - who was behind the Twilight soundtrack - had to say about the process involved in choosing bands for a film's CD.
"We sort of put in one CD at a time," Patsavas explained to me at the time. "Maybe we don't play a CD all the way through, but we do give everything a try."
Might Dakota Fanning really bare her fangs as vampire Jane in the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon? The young actress is addressing these recent casting rumors.
"I really hope it works out," Fanning told Hitfix.com while promoting her current thriller, Push. "It would be a really fantastic experience, I'm sure."
The role would appear to be a perfect fit. As described in a casting notice, Jane - a member of the deadly Volturi - is a petite blonde with a "Botticelli angel-like face [and] crimson irises."
Fanning would join returning stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Filming for New Moon begins in March.

You may have to, as E! Online reports that the 14-year-old child star - who turns 15 on February 23 - is in talks to portray Jane in New Moon, the upcoming sequel to Twilight.
“There were no auditions,” a source said. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.”
Jane is a member of Italy’s Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling series. Think Fanning is right for this role?
