It keeps getting better for Peter Facinelli. First he gets cast in New Moon, the sequel to the tween panty-drenching powerhouse Twilight, then he gets to reprise his role in the following film, Eclipse.

Now, he's got something even more exciting to add to his repertoire: vampire brawls!

"'New Moon' is going to have a lot more action than 'Twilight,' which I'm excited about, and then take the action in 'New Moon' and double it in 'Eclipse,'" Facinelli says. "I get to be a part of that action, which is fun because Carlisle is this calm figure. I think the vampire brawls are going to be exciting."

Facinelli plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen, head of Edward's clan. In Eclipse, the Cullens and Jacob's werewolf pack must band together to take on an army of vampires created by revenge-minded Victoria.

New Moon hits theaters on November 20, while Eclipse is set for release June 30, 2010.

A bit older than most Twilight Saga stars, Michael Sheen comes aboard the franchise in the role of Aro, an elder vampire in the Volturi.

The British actor spoke to MTV about the role this week and replied:

"He's very calming on the surface, very gentle and soft on the surface. But beneath, he is a psychopathic killer... He's a great character, and I had a great time doing it.

Asked about Dakota Fanning's turn as a fellow Volturi villain, Sheen couldn't praise the young star enough:

"She's fantastic. She's scary as hell, but she looks so sweet. She's got a great character there. People are really going to love her."

New Moon will hit theaters in less than two months.

But fans of the Twilight Saga don't even need to wait that long to purchase the film's soundtrack.

The official album hits stores on October 13. The complete track list for the CD has been released, and fans can check out each single below:

Pictured below, four stars new to the franchise pose as members of the Volturi. This vampire coven plays a key role in New Moon, as loyal readers of the book know quite well.

Technically set to premiere at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, the third New Moon movie trailer has been released. And it doesn't disappoint!

Check out the video below for...

• Shots of a creepy Dakota Fanning in her role as a Volturi member;
• A sullen Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan;
• Scenes featuring a shirtless Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

It's possible the movie studio forces YouTube to take down the preview soon, so watch it while you can. And check out other New Moon trailers, as well!

Chaske Spencer isn't a well-known actor.

But his name might grow in stature after New Moon comes out on November 20. The young star plays werewolf Sam Uley in the Twilight Saga sequel.

Spencer was asked about training for that role by Radar Online this week. He responded by talking about "Wolf Camp," as director Chris Weitz has dubbed the regiment he put his pretend werewolves on:

"It was like a basic training. I had been going to the gym before I went up to Vancouver and just to keep in shape I go to the gym regularly but when we got there it was a whole different beast all together. They got us a trainer, and he had helped out the actors in 300 get in shape. It was really cool, me and the other guys, the wolf guys, we were pretty jacked that we were working out with the guy who was affiliated with 300.

"I think we were more excited about that than anything else. So what they did is he threw us into circuit training and muscle confusion workouts and we hit it pretty hard for about an hour and hour and a half.  First thing in the morning that’s what we’d do. And then we just eat all day. It’s pretty much four to six meals a day plus three to four protein shakes a day as well."

With under three months remaining until the premiere of New Moon, the publicity machine is going strong.

Earlier today, a pair of new photos related to the movie were released.

The first was actually created by a memorabilia fir, not Summit Entertainment. Still it has the two important ingredients of any New Moon picture: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. See for yourself:

MTV and the Twilight Saga. It's a match made in tween heaven.

Earlier this summer, the network aired the first-ever trailer for New Moon (seen below) at its Movie Awards.

On September 13, meanwhile, it's been confirmed that more clips from the sequel will be revealed at the MTV Video Music Awards.

It's also been announced that Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will take the stage to present to latest trailer.

Go set your DVR, readers. We understand. We'll wait.

You've seen a few action shots from New Moon, such as the still image of Jacob Black topless in the film.

Now, the studio has released a number of promotional photos that focus on characters other than Jacob, Bella and Edward for a change.

Pictured below are members of the Volturi, the powerful coven of vampires that enforce the rules of their unique world. The actress receiving the most buzz for her role of Jane is Dakota Fanning, who is very much playing against type in New Moon.

"She is very strange and very spooky in this movie," said director Chris Weitz. "I think [Dakota] wanted to play an evil character for once."
