The documentary tells the story of U.S. torture practices in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. It focuses on an innocent taxi driver in Afghanistan who was tortured and killed in 2002.

The Air I Breathe is based around the concept that life can be broken down into four emotional cornerstones: happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love.
