Movie Rumors (Page 9)

HOT Movie Rumor of the Day: Megan Fox Topless in Jennifer's Body

We were likely to see Jennifer's Body when it came out no matter what. Produced by Jason Reitman and penned by Juno scribe Diablo Cody, it ought to be a fun-filled flick.

After Reitman went on the Howard Stern radio show earlier this week, however, we absolutely cannot wait for the movie to come out.

Reitman told Stern that Jennifer's Body star Megan Fox will be appearing topless (!) in the film for a scene in which she lures some unsuspecting (and, apparently, very lucky) dude into the woods with her.

Megan Fox Topless

Reitman did state that Fox's breasts are being covered by hair... but we pretty much stopped listening after the words "Megan Fox topless" came out of his mouth.

Jennifer's Body is currently shooting in Canada, with Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons co-starring along with Fox.

The Dark Knight Rumor: Film Edited Due to Heath Ledger's Death

Cinema Blend has published an interesting rumor regarding The Dark Knight.

According to that movie site, a scene has been deleted from the next Batman installment because it too closely reflects the unfortunate passing of star Heath Ledger.

Reportedly, the scene involves The Joker pretending to be dead, photographed in a body bag.

The Joker Picture

If this rumor is true, we think it's a mistake by producers. The Joker was Ledger's final performance. The best way to honor the actor is to showcase the role in its entirety. Don't panic and cater to overly sensitive, misguided, politically correct-minded people who can't differentiate between reality and fiction.

What do you think? Should The Dark Knight be edited down due to Ledger's death?

Matthew McConaughey Offered Magnum P.I. Movie Role

We're trying not to get too excited about this yet, but Entertainment Weekly has learned that Matthew McConaughey has been offered the role of Thomas Magnum in Universal Pictures' adaptation of Magnum P.I.

The movie, of course, would be based on the 1980s TV show that starred Tom Selleck. For those too young to remember, the character is a former Navy Seal turned reluctant detective. Certainly seems a perfect match for the laid-back actor.

Matthew McConaughey Shirtless

McConaughey, reportedly, is reading the script from writer/director Rawson Thurber (Dodgeball) and will decide shortly.

Would you pay to see him in the role of Magnum P.I.?

Keanu Reeves Starts Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 3 Rumor

Keanu Reeves PhotoBill and Ted have been to Heaven, Hell, and the far reaches of time.

However, as Keanu Reeves told MTV recently, Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted "Theodore" Logan may be making their most non-heinous journey yet: back to the big screen!

"I hear they're doing a remake," Reeves said of the movie that launched his carer. "[Alex Winter and I spoke] on the phone the other day [about it]. We're great friends."

Would Reeves be up for another sequel?

"The most serious we ever got was a few years ago," the actor confessed of a hitherto unknown third film. "I had once mentioned about doing it when we were 40. Now maybe the only shot we have is to do it when we're 50."

Would you see Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure 3?

Awesome Rumor of the Day: Sean Connery to Play Villain in Quantum of Solace

sean-connery-good.jpg How cool would this be?!?

The original James Bond, Sean Connery, is actually quoted by Ace Showbiz as saying that he'd be willing to portray the villain in Quantum of Solace.

"I wouldn't mind coming back as a Bond villain. But I don't think they would pay me enough. They don't pay the money for other parts, only for the Bond character, although that wasn't the case when I was doing it."

Wow. Bitter much, Mr. Connery?

The aforementioned movie sites goes on to say that Connery has been contacted about the role:

"Allegedly, the 77-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has been involved in negotiations to land a villain role with the film's producers since Daniel Craig has been tapped to bring Ian Fleming's agent back to the big screen with Casino Royale."

What do you think? Would Sean Connery make a good James Bond villain in Quantum of Solace?

Judd Apatow Teases Anchorman 2

It's hard to take Judd Apatow seriously when it comes to, well, anything.

But the mere mention of an Anchorman sequel has the Reel Movie News staff giddy, so we have to at least post Apatorw's recent comments to MTV.

"The movie that probably has a best shot at a sequel is Anchorman. Ron Burgundy would be hilarious at 70-years-old, being the anchor," the writer/director mused of what films on his resume might demand to be revisited.

Ron Burgundy Picture

Come on, you cant tell us the sight of an elderly Will Ferrell, still boisterous and conceited, warm milk dribbling down his now white beard, doesn't make you laugh out loud. Make it happen. Judd!

"Yeah," Apatow laughed, "We all think it would be fun to see him up on his feet again doing what only he can do. That would be awesome " but it could only happen in 30 years."

Write in now and share your thoughts: Would you watch an Anchorman sequel?

Matt Damon, Paul Greengrass Quiet Bourne Number-Four Rumors

It's been widely reported that Universal is ready to bring back director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon for a fourth Jason Bourne movie... although this comes as news to the actor and the filmmaker.

"I think it's one of these stories that has a life of it's own. Not that we're against it, we're all for doing a fourth movie but it means coming up with a good story," Damon told EmpireOnline.com.

"There are a lot of things that would have to happen before we would sign up for it," Damon added.

"It's news to me. ... We love (the franchise), but none of us would want to go again unless we're sure there's a worthwhile film and that could take some time," Greengrass said. "You don't want to do that when you feel like you've got to make it and none of us need to, so that's where we are."

Allow us to ask once more: Would you wanna see another Jason Bourne movie?

Rumors of The Sopranos Movie Won't Die

Do you wanna see a movie version of The Sopranos?

Fans seem torn on the issue, so it's likely they'll be torn on this piece of news, as well:

The manager of Satin Dolls â€" aka the Lodi, New Jersey flesh palace that doubled as the Bada Bing! on the HBO series â€" told NorthJersey.com that he's put off renovating the club because he got a call from someone working on a script for a The Sopranos feature film.

Asked about the buzz by The New York Daily News, David Chase seemed most skeptical, while an HBO spokesperson told TVGuide.com the movie talk is "categorically not true."

Step Up 2 the Streets Picture

The movie would become the latest 3-D live-action film from the company, with Step Up 2 the Streets director Jon Chu in talks to reprise his role.

We'll have more on this as the story develops, but: Would you wanna see a 3-D version of the Step Up franchise?

Movie Rumors: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to Premiere at Cannes

American movie goers will have to wait until May 22 to check out Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in a U.S. theater. That much is for certain.

But it's possible that foreigners might get an advanced screening of the highly-anticipated follow up, as Steven Spielberg's reps and the folks at the Cannes Film Festival are in negotiations to bring the film to Cannes for its official worldwide premiere in early May.

This Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premiere would precede the scheduled opening for the movie in the States.
