As Cloverfield shatters January box office records, the question of a sequel to this monster movie is already being asked?

What does Director Matt Reeves have to say about a Cloverfield 2? The following:

"Only time will tell. While we were on set making the film we talked about the possibilities and directions of how a sequel can go. The fun of this movie was that it might not have been the only movie being made that night, there might be another movie!

More from Cloverfield

In today's day and age of people filming their lives on their iphones and handy cams, uploading it to youtube...That was kind of exciting thinking about that."

Ellen Page Rumored to Star in Whip It

derbygirl01.jpg Whip It is the big screen adaption of Shauna Cross' book "Derby Girl."

Drew Barrymore is making her feature directorial debut on the film, which ought to begin filming in March start. The story is based around Bliss Cavendar, a blue haired, indie-rock loving misfit stuck in the tiny town of Bodeen, Texas.

Her pageant-addicted mother expects her to compete for the coveted Miss Blue Bonnet crown, but Bliss would rather feast on roaches than be subjected to such rhinestone tyranny. Bliss' escape? Take up Roller Derby.

According to a recent interview Cross gave to Film School Rejects, the actress that will play the role of Bliss has a name that rhymes with "Shmellen Shmage."

Might this be Juno star Ellen Page?

Scarlett Johansson to Portray Courtney Love in Heavier Than Heaven?

Courtney Love wants Scarlett Johansson to portray her in the upcoming biopic Heavier Than Heaven.

Sounds like Love has a slightly distorted image of herself, doesn't it?

The widow of Kurt Cobain is reportedly also hoping Half Nelson star Ryan Gosling plays her late husband in the movie. The flick will be based on Charles Cross's biography of Cobain.

Can you picture Scarlett Johansson as Courtney Love?

A source said: "Kirsten Dunst was rumored to be in the frame, but Courtney really admires Scarlett and has already sent the contract out for her to sign. Courtney even copied Scarlett's sleek blonde movie look when she was in London for the Fashion Rocks party last year.

"She wants the best actors to portray them - she will be on set all the time giving Scarlett and Ryan advice on what it was like being one part of the most notorious couples since Sid and Nancy. It will be explosive."

Sylvester Stallone to Remake Death Wish?

Sylvester Stallone is trying to remain classic.

10102736.jpg The intense actor, coming off Rocky Balboa and Rambo, is now focusing on another remake: the writer, director and actor told IGN how he plans to update the main character should he be able to develop a remake of Death Wish.

"I'll give you a little hint," Stallone said. "He was a very violent human being, completely violent, an ex convict who walked the walk, was accepted back into society and did everything he could to be a [good person] like these thieves and junkies who now work on the side of the law.

They've gone that way, but when something happens he reverts back to that guy."

As Stallone relayed to IGN, in November of 2007, MGM chief operating office Rick sands indicated that Stallone was tentatively attached to write, direct and star in a remake of the 1974 movie that starred Charles Bronson.

"I think Death Wish, if it were done today, would be volcanic," Stallone said, never fully committing to the project. "The idea of Jeff Goldblum being a mugger who breaks into an apartment is very simplistic. It gives you an idea how bad the elevation of violence has become. I would focus on defense attorneys, I would focus on [the people] allowing this crap to happen - not so much the guy on the street. It's like, 'Who permits it?'

"What if it happened to you, that your daughter was grabbed and her eyes were put out? Would you want to sit there and defend that guy?"

Stallone went on to explain how his interpretation of the story would be deeper and more complex.

"There's moral questions here that are being presented that have not been answered in 30 years. So by no means is it the pacifist [origin of the original]."

Sweeney Todd 2 in the Works?

Take this with a grain of salt the size of Sweeney Todd's thirst for revenge, but...

The younger cast members of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street are hoping to star in a sequel to the gory musical.

For example, Jamie Bowers, who plays the love-struck sailor Anthony, wants his character and his lady love Johanna (played by Jayne Wisener) to run away together and begin a new killing rampage.

"We're the killers this time," he said to MTV. "But you can't tell anyone yet."

However, the would-be couple have some competition from street kid Toby, who actually commits acts of violence in Sweeney Todd.

"He's quite a troubled young man, he's seen a lot," said Ed Sanders, who plays the character"I think he would be the next Sweeney Todd."

Sanders theorizes Toby would throw people "straight in the fire," as opposed to slicing them open in a chair.

"I think that's because that's what's traumatized him the most," he said. "I'm sure there's many other possible outcomes. It's worth thinking about."

Knocked Up Stars to Reunite in I Love You, Man?

Who Should Play Hugh Hefner?

Hugh HefnerBrett Ratner will be directing a biopic about Hugh Hefner, titled Playboy.

So, with Playboy looking to get the fast track to your local multiplex, MTV decided to do some casting.Who should play Hef?

How about…

Ewan McGregor - The only thing stopping us from loving this idea is Ewan tends to fall a little flat when he goes American.

Hugh Jackman - He's got more charm in his pinky than Jude Law's got in his Alfie wannabe body. Plus, Ratner and Hugh seemed to get along alright on X-Men: The Last Stand.

Owen Wilson - He's the butterscotch stallion, people! And, judging from our subscription to TheHollywoodGossip.com, he's been preparing for the role all his life.

David Duchovny - He projects intelligence and a sexy subversive edge. But is he bankable without Gillian Anderson by his side?

Johnny Depp - We're not really sure why, except that we know he'll do something interesting with it.

Russell Crowe - When you want a hit of testosterone from your leading man, who do you turn to if not Crowe?
