The rumors are true: another Jason Bourne film will soon be added to the franchise.

Producer Frank Marshall told reporters in Philadelphia on Tuesday that he's developing another Bourne vehicle for Matt Damon. The actor has already agreed to star in it, pending script approval.

"I am moving it forward," Marshall said of the Bourne franchise. "We'd like to shoot next year, but it's trying to get everyone's schedules in the right place and getting the script right. We have done pretty well with these scripts that are loosely put together, but I would like the script to be really solid this time before we go forward, so we are spending a lot of time on story."

Reboots are all the rage these days, so it's no wonder Columbia is taking its reboot of The Karate Kid seriously.  Previously being written by Chris Murphy, the job has been handed over to Steven Conrad.

Conrad, who wrote the 2006 The Persuit of Happyness, has connections to two of the producers, James Lessiter and Will Smith via Happyness.  Hopefully this switch up will be good for the film which stars production next month.

The new Karate stars Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan, and Taraji P. Henson.  We can't wait to see the Crane Kick back in action.

Quick synopsis: An investigation focuses on the murder of a congressman's mistress.
Prediction: Strong cast, intriguing plot, number-two at the box office.

Crank: High Voltage
Stars: Jason Statham
Quick synopsis: The sequel 2006's surprise hit, Crank.
Prediction: Very little publicity. Dedicated Statham fans aren't to take it very far.

Hannah Montana: The Movie

Prediction: You can't fight the teens. Number-one at the box office.

Observe and Report

Quick synopsis: An imbalanced mall security guard tries to catch a flasher.
Prediction: People love Rogen. But not as much as they love Hannah Montana.

Dragonball Evolution
Stars: Kristin Kreuk, Justin Chatwin
Quick synopsis: A remake of the classic series.
Prediction: A big disappointment. Barely in the top five at the box office.

Monsters vs. Aliens
Stars: 3D animation
Quick synopsis: A young girl is turned into a giant monster and is taken to a secret government compound.
Prediction: Number-one at the box office, by a long shot.

The Haunting in Connecticut
Stars: Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner
Quick synopsis: A family's new home appears to be haunted.
Prediction: Yawn. Another horror movie? A box office let down.

12 Rounds
Stars: John Cena
Quick synopsis: A cop has to follow a series of steps in order to save his wife's life.
Prediction: Cena has a big following from his regular job with the WWE. A decent showing.

Joel and Ethan Coen will direct True Grit, the iconic Western that won John Wayne an Oscar.

According to reports, the movie will be more faithful to the Charles Portis book than the 1969 film. The novel centers on a 14-year-old girl who - along with a veteran U.S. marshal - tracks her father's killer into hostile Indian territory.

This movie has three big budget movies starring big name actors.  What an amazing weekend for movie goers and a terrible battle for these movies.

Duplicity
Stars: Julia Roberts and Clive Owen
Quick synopsis: A pair of spies team up to pull the ultimate con on their bosses.
Prediction: It stars Julia Roberts, how can it not be a winner?

I Love You, Man
Stars: Paul Rudd, Jason Segel
Quick synopsis: A man tries to find a new friend to be best man for his wedding
Prediction: A comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel? We'll buy enough tickets to make it number one.

Knowing
Stars: Nicolas Cage
Quick synopsis: A teacher that opens a time capsule that contains chilling predictions.
Prediction: Not sure if we can take Nic Cage seriously anymore.  We'll give it three.

The director of Twilight, Catherine Hardwicke, has her sights set on a new young adult novel to turn into the next blockbuster, "Maximum Ride," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The five-volume novel series focuses on a group of six teenagers, known as the Flock, who are genetically alterted to be part human and part bird.  When they learn to fly, they escape the lab where they were altered and are being chased by a pack of creatured, the Erasers, that are half human and half wolf.

Sounds like a perfect premise for a movie to us!  Don Payne, who recently wrote the horrible Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is writing the screen play.  Well that doesn't make us happy.

Paramount Pictures and Dreamworks initially set a July 1, 2011 release date for Transformers 3.  Turns out that was a bit ambitious.

Michael Bay recently posted the following on his site:

I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 - they asked me on the phone - I said yes to July 4 - but for 2012 - whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots
