The big screen version of Justice League of America has been delayed until the writers’ strike ends, but Megan Gale has confirmed that she’ll be portraying Wonder Woman when the film finally is released.

“I’ve been a fan of Wonder Woman since I was a teenager,” Gale said. “People used to tell me I looked like Lynda Carter. It was always a bit of a fantasy. It was never going to be a reality for me, but it kind of found me and I’m a big believer in fate and destiny. Even if the writers’ strike goes on forever, for me, the fact that I’ve been cast as Wonder Woman is enough.”

A couple of roles for the upcoming Justice League of America movie have been confirmed:

• As previously reported, Australian model Megan Gale will be starring as Wonder Woman.

• Somewhat random actor Armie Hammer, meanwhile, will don the cape of Batman. This 6′5″ star has previously appeared in Desperate Housewives and Veronica Mars.

Teresa Palmer is in the running for the role of Wonder Woman in the movie Justice League of America.

But it now sounds as though Australian mode Megan Gale may also be a candidate for the part.

“I can’t talk about it,” Gale tole The Herald Sun. “I wish I could, but I can’t…”

The beauty did acknowledge that if she were going to portray a superhero, Wonder Woman would be her choice.

“For females there is only one: Wonder Woman,” she said. “I have always loved Wonder Woman. Ever since I was about 15, people have said, ‘Oh, you look like Wonder Woman’. She is the best.”
