Mila Kunis Brings the (Max) Payne!

In our Max Payne review, we lamented the lack of screen time for Mila Kunis.

We do with this beauty, who plays Mona Sax in the film, had received more minutes - but we're just grateful we could watch her in action at all.

Here are a couple excerpts of an interview Kunis gave MoviesOnline about the film:

MoviesOnline: Mila, this is your first kick butt action role, did you enjoy the clothes, the guns and the training? Was it different for you.
Mila Kunis: I didn’t enjoy the clothes very much. I enjoyed the guns and I enjoyed the training a lot.

MoviesOnline: What did you have to do?
Mila Kunis: I had weapons safety and then I had to… John for some reason made me learn how to take an MK5H apart and put it back together blindfolded. I really don’t know why but I now know how to do that in case anyone wants it. I liked shooting the gun a lot more than I thought I would. I think I like that. The clothes sucked. Oh my God, it was awful. Mark was like bundled up in jackets and wet suits and coats and turtlenecks and I was in a leather bustier and black pants and 5 inch heels

Reel Movie Reviews: Max Payne

If you love bullets, noise and chaos - and nothing but bullets, noise and chaos - then Max Payne is for you.

Unfortunately, if you also love Mark Wahlberg has an actor and any semblance of coherent story telling, then you're better off picking up The Departed or Boogie Nights.

Max Payne Director Lampoons R Rating

Kevin Smith is happy Zack and Miri Made a Porno was tagged with an R-rating, considering it was initially rated NC-!7.

The same can't be said for John Moore, the director behind Max Payne. He's pissed that his upcoming thriller has been pegged R, and he isn't shy expressing that viewpoint:

"The Motion Picture Association of America gave The Dark Knight a PG-13 rating and basically sucked Warner Bros.' (explicative)."

Both Moore and 20th Century Fox went into Max Payne with the intentions of making a PG-13 rated film. However, the ratings board slapped the film with a R, Moore has had to return to the editing room to cut the film down to size.

"They said to me, the movie feels R. And I said, 'What the (explicative) is that, a group therapy session?' You can't do that. They're meant to judge content, not intent. They said the movie felt dark," Moore said.

Ludacris Speaks on Max Payne Role

Ludacris is expanding his big screen resume with a role in the upcoming Max Payne movie.

The rapper told MTV News of a scene in the film - which stars Mark Wahlberg as the title character - where his character gets to have his way with Wahlberg’s vigilante.

“I’m the internal affairs investigator, Jim Bravura, and I’m just hounding Max Payne. Crazy thing about that is, whenever you see Mark Wahlberg, he’s usually playing those dominate characters, so this is the time I’m the one who’s dominate,” Ludacris said of his favorite scene in the upcoming video game to movie adaptation.

“I get to hound him. Trust me, it’s the best scene in the movie when I’m hounding the hell out of Mark Wahlberg because I’m the boss.”

More Max Payne Photos

We've uncovered a couple new photos from the upcoming big screen adaption of the video game Max Payne.

Below, check out Mark Wahlberg in the title role and Mila Kunis in the role of partner Mona Sax. The latter recently spoke out on the film.

"For anyone who’s got concerns about Mark [Wahlberg] playing Max Payne, he’s amazing in it. Great actor, great guy," Kunis said. "I play [an assassin] called Mona Sax who accuses him of murdering her sister and later comes to find out it wasn’t him. They kind of get together and try to figure out who was responsible for the murder of his wife and child and her sister.

The whole film is about realising that you can go on a revenge spree and get your revenge but it doesn’t solve the problem. It’s a really great, dark movie. The story actually combines [the games] Max Payne 1 and 2 together. Lots of shooting and gunplay, but what makes this script different is that it’s a really dark, sad movie about a man who loses everything and thinks that the only way he can get it back is by revenge.

And comes to terms with realizing that he’ll never get it back."
