Ludacris Speaks on Max Payne Role

Ludacris is expanding his big screen resume with a role in the upcoming Max Payne movie.

The rapper told MTV News of a scene in the film - which stars Mark Wahlberg as the title character - where his character gets to have his way with Wahlberg’s vigilante.

“I’m the internal affairs investigator, Jim Bravura, and I’m just hounding Max Payne. Crazy thing about that is, whenever you see Mark Wahlberg, he’s usually playing those dominate characters, so this is the time I’m the one who’s dominate,” Ludacris said of his favorite scene in the upcoming video game to movie adaptation.

“I get to hound him. Trust me, it’s the best scene in the movie when I’m hounding the hell out of Mark Wahlberg because I’m the boss.”

More Max Payne Photos

We've uncovered a couple new photos from the upcoming big screen adaption of the video game Max Payne.

Below, check out Mark Wahlberg in the title role and Mila Kunis in the role of partner Mona Sax. The latter recently spoke out on the film.

"For anyone who’s got concerns about Mark [Wahlberg] playing Max Payne, he’s amazing in it. Great actor, great guy," Kunis said. "I play [an assassin] called Mona Sax who accuses him of murdering her sister and later comes to find out it wasn’t him. They kind of get together and try to figure out who was responsible for the murder of his wife and child and her sister.

The whole film is about realising that you can go on a revenge spree and get your revenge but it doesn’t solve the problem. It’s a really great, dark movie. The story actually combines [the games] Max Payne 1 and 2 together. Lots of shooting and gunplay, but what makes this script different is that it’s a really dark, sad movie about a man who loses everything and thinks that the only way he can get it back is by revenge.

And comes to terms with realizing that he’ll never get it back."

This may not remain online long, but it looks like the new trailer for 20th Century Fox's Max Payne has been leaked by international sites. Check out the upcoming Mark Wahlberg vehicle now:

Mark Wahlberg Hypes Max Payne

Mark Wahlberg doesn't count war (Three Kings), a skyscraper-sized wave (The Perfect Storm) or the Apocalypse (The Happening and Planet of the Apes) as his most daunting obstacle to date?

Instead, the actor points to a video game character.

"Two weeks out I was just dying," Wahlberg said to MTV of his title role in the upcoming video game adaptation, Max Payne. "I wanted my life back."

Mark Wahlberg as Max Payne? Safe to say we're excited about that.

More than anything, Wahlberg is excited about how complex the character is.

"Max Payne is not a one-trick pony. It's probably one of the edgier roles I've played but also the most layered," he said. "Here's a very happy guy who worked a dismal job, had a beautiful family. But the beauty in his life was taken away. He just goes on a rampage. It's all driven by emotion."

Mila Kunis Prepares for Max Payne

Mila Kunis PhotoMila Kunis may currently be best known for her role as Jackie Burkhart on That '70s Show - but that may soon change as the actress who also voices Meg Griffin on Family Guy takes on a number of new film roles.

First up, Kunis will star in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, in which she plays the object of Peter Bretter's (Jason Segel) post-breakup affection, Rachel Jansen.

Kunis is also currently shooting a video game adaptation of Max Payne opposite Mark Wahlberg. She'll play the character of Mona Sax. Just the name sounds hot.

Reelz Channel recently spoke to Kunis about her work on Max Payne:

"I can't really reveal too much," the actress said of the project. "I play a character named Mona Sax who is based on the video game, but doesn't necessarily come in until [the game] Max Payne 2, if I'm not mistaken. Max Payne loses his wife and goes on this spree to find out why she was murdered.
