Last week, we mentioned that Miley Cyrus was on a short list of cameo appearances featured in the upcoming sequel to Sex and the City. Well, now we have pictures as proof!

In the film, Miley Cyrus plays herself in a scene where she bumps into Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones on the red carpet, only to discover that they're both wearing the exact same outfit. Talk about awkward!

Sex and the City 2 is scheduled to open May 28, 2010.

No shocker here, but still movie news worth reporting:

During an interview on Great Britain's The Paul O'Grady Show, Kim Cattrall confirmed that there will be a Sex and the City movie sequel.

"Yes, there will be a sequel," she told her interviewer, who was actually Spice Girl Melanie Brown.

The original Sex and the City movie grossed $153 million. When asked in September about the prospects of a follow-up, star Sarah Jessica Parker said:

"It’s all about the story. If we can’t tell a story that’s really worthy of an audience, then we won't do it."

Sounds like a story is in the works.

There was talk of an Iron Man sequel long before the original hit the big screen.

So why not start similar rumors about a follow-up to the Sex and the City movie? Star Kim Cattrall already has.

"The audience is so happy to see the girls back," said the actress this week. "It was a blast to make and I hope we get to come back and make another."

How did it feel to go back to Samantha?
Really, really exciting. The first day of shooting was beyond anything that I had ever witnessed. A girlfriend came to visit me on the set and she nudged me and said, ''You guys are the Beatles!'' On both sides of the street, in the middle partition of Park Avenue where we were filming, it was standing room only. All the plants were being crushed, people were yelling our names, our characters' names, Pat Field's name...

It was like they were in on something that they thought had passed and that they would only dream about or watch on DVD, and now they were part of it as well. It was really exciting. Getting back into shape with those high heels â€" that was the only not-fun part about it. At night, the goddamn balls of my feet were throbbing.

When the movie fell apart the first time around, all of the finger-pointing turned your way. How did that feel?
Well, it's devastating, because it was not true. What am I gonna say? I tried to give the story and my side of it. My separation from my husband, and then my divorce, was all over the headlines here in New York and in the gossip columns. That was just really hurtful. People in my family I hadn't even told, and because I wasn't here or there with my husband, people starting putting things together. I kind of really needed to get away.
