Just the other day, we revealed a new poster for Kick-Ass, the adaptation of the graphic novel by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., and today, Lionsgate has graced us with the teaser trailer for the amateur super hero romp! Opening April 16th, the action-adventure stars Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Mark Strong, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Chloe Moretz.
Kick-Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. Unfortunately, Dave doesn't have any super powers, but that's okay, he's got a funky costume and an intimidating name: Kick-Ass.
His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Cage).
No, it's not another Spider-Man 4 poster, it's for the upcoming graphic novel adaptation Kick-Ass!
Kick-Ass, directed by Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake), follows an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan named Dave Lizewski who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.
As if that wasn't enough, Nicholas Cage and McLovin are also in it!
Kick-Ass starts kicking ass on April 16, 2010.
