With Transporter 3 opening tomorrow, Jason Statham is making the publicity rounds.

In a new interview, the action star speaks on changes to the movie's main character, Frank Martin:

I think on the third one we found his weakness. It all lies within this lovely female here (referring to Natalya Rudakova, who plays his love interest.) It's about the creative aspects of how are we going to make this one a little more interesting? How do you make Frank Martin more vulnerable?

At the same time you always have to try to exceed what you did in the previous two which is so difficult these days because there's so much to live up to with what Luc [Besson] created with the character. There's always challenges and hopefully we've made this one interesting enough.

On November 26, action fans will be treated to the third installment of Jason Statham in the role of Frank Martin in Transporter 3.

The actor sat down with MoviesOnline recently and talked about the role:

How have you refined the character for this film?
Jason Statham: Well I think on the third one we found his weakness.  And it all lies within this lovely female here (points to Natalya and laughs). You know, obviously it's about the creative aspects of how are we going to make this one a little more interesting, how do you make Frank Martin more vulnerable?

And at the same time, you always have to try and exceed what you did in the previous two, which is so difficult these days, because there's so much to live up to of what Luc created with the character in fact. So, there are always challenges and hopefully we've made this one interesting enough.

With Transporter 3 less than a month away, Jason Statham is speaking out about the plot of his next action adventure.

"[Frank Martin] wakes up and he's been given this... bracelet. If you get away from the car, the bracelet explodes," Statham told Entertainment Weekly.

So, what is Martin transporting in the third movie in this franchise?

"Bags... And a girl is thrown in to mess things up. Because that's one thing he's not very good with: women!"

With Death Race about to hit theaters, Jason Statham recently sat down to discuss this film with ReelzChannel, while also touching on another movie he just completed shooting.

What was it like shooting those racing scenes? Did you get to drive any of the cars?
They had many stunt cars. Any action movie that involves cars, they have multiple copies of the same car, so when they get mangled and bashed they just slip in the next one. One of the most difficult things was the fact that they don't have a lot of vision. The cars are covered in armor and there's very little vision that you can really draw any confidence from.

It's quite nerve-wracking to know where you are and who's coming up and who's not coming up, and the track's just full of dangerous pylons and steel girders. One mistake and it's over. So, it was a massive concern for the stunt coordinators involved, just because of the danger that those kind of things present. We just had to sort of go and do the best we could.

Was there something specific you wanted to do with [Transporter 3]?
I wanted to make it better than the first two. I always felt the first one was the best one, for me. With the second one...I thought we could do better. We're always trying to do better. We just need more time and more money, and that's hard to get. If we're indulged with a little bit more money, a bit more of a budget, more time, more preparation, we can do something really, really good. But sometimes we don't get that. I think the third one's probably the best out of the three.

Statham initially started off in the world of sports in both competitive diving and driving.  As a diver, Statham was an Olympic Diver on the British National Diving Team.  As a driver, Statham finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992.

Statham soon took his chiseled ahtletic body to the world of modeling.  It was when he was a model for the French Connection that he was discovered and auditioned for a role in Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.  From there, Statham has been on a non-stop career filled with some of the best action movies this decade and Statham's next movie, Death Race, doesn't look to disappoint.
