Can you tell us a little bit about the story, which way you are headed with the MUPPETS? All I can say is that we are trying to bring it back to the early ’80s movies where it’s not Muppets in the Sahara or Muppets Underwater. It’s the Muppets getting back together to put on a show, to save the studio.

In the opening minutes of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Jason Segel has just stepped out of a shower when his girlfriend (played by Kristen Bell) ends their relationship.

Too devastated by the news to put on his clothes or grab a towel, Segel — for 73 excruciating frames — remains literally, utterly and completely exposed.

“At one point there was a nylon sock involved,” Bell said to TV Guide about the scene. “I tell you, that draws more attention to it than you really need there, so we said, ‘Ditch the sock, let’s just pretend you’re not naked.’”

Segel admits that the nudity was his idea; that he discovered it’s not easy being a male in this case.

“One of the great things about female nudity is that at least they have the comfort of knowing that men have all different kinds of preferences. There’s not that many women out there who like small penises, but I think I came out all right. Let’s see if I ever get a date.”
