Jack Black Reunites with Panda Writers
Looks like the writers behind the highly successful Kung Fu Panda and its star, Jack Black, will be reuniting on a live action film this time around according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The duo writing team behind Panda, Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, have an idea for their yet untitled action comedy, where the storyline is about an American (Black) who finds himself washed up on the shores of Cuba with no idea of who he is in the vein of "The Bourne Identity." However, this clueless guy thinks he's a superspy, where in reality he's anything but.
One half of the team Aibel, said that "For our next live-action project, we knew we wanted to work with either a panda or Jack. Luckily, Endeavor repped Jack. We also figured that if we could write for Jack as a panda, we could write for him as a human."
Universal picked up the deal.
