It's been pretty much confirmed: an Inside Man sequel is on the way.

At the Sundance Film Festival, Spike Lee told MTV the original cast will return for the movie, including Clive Own, Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jodi Foster.

As for shooting details and/or schedules?

“If the script is up to snuff, we’ll be shooting it,” Lee said. “Here’s the thing: if everything lines up—people’s schedules are open, [we’ll begin in] late summer, early fall.”

It's been confirmed that an Inside Man sequel is in the works.

But that sounded like news to Jodie Foster when MTV caught up with the actress earlier in the week. The actress did say she loved working on the first Spike Lee joint, however.

“I loved that movie; it was a really fun experience for me,” Foster said. “It was the quickest film I think I ever shot. I think I worked for four days or something, and to work with Denzel Washington is a dream that everybody has.”

Moreover, while Foster didn't sound familiar with news of the new movie, she made it clear she'd love to reprise her role of Madeleine White.

“Sure!” she said, sending out a message to Spike. “From your mouth to his ears, of course I would love to.”

Looks like an Inside Man sequel is definitely on the way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures will bring back the original film's director, Spike Lee, for the follow-up; the stuido has also hired Hotel Rwanda's Terry George to write the script, a job that fell to. Russell Gewirtz for the first movie.

"I want the script to be even better than Russell's, and Russell wrote a really good script," Lee said.

Clive Owen has expressed interested in an Inside Man sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spike Lee is moving forward to a sequel to Inside Man.

Inside Man 2, as the movie is tentatively called, would pick up on the characters and dynamic, but not necessarily the storyline of the original film. That flick focused on a standoff between a bank robber (Clive Owens) and a hostage negotiator (Denzel Washington) at a New York bank.

Would you pay to see an Inside Man sequel?

Lee said he thinks the new movie will continue the relationship between the two main characters, but they'd be placed in a different high-tension situation.
