Movie Producer Confirms Talk of Indiana Jones V

Shia LaBeouf pretty much confirmed it earlier in the week, and now a man behind the scenes is also openly talking about the possibility of a fifth Indiana Jones movie.

Speaking to Empire magazine, producer Frank Marshall said that "ideas would be worked on with a view to green-lighting production sooner rather than later."

"It's really about the script," said Marshall, who has produced all four movies in the franchise. "Once we see that, we'll see. We're not going to wait another 20 years. We'd all love to make another one. I'm anxious to hear the idea!"

Jackpot!

As for Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Harrison Ford, Marshall left no doubt that are all up for another outing with the iconic character.

"We had a great time making the last one and, as Harrison said, we need to make this one soon. We're not getting any younger."

Would you see another Indiana Jones movie?

Shia LeBouf Confirms Indiana Jones 5

Shia LeBouf, during an interview with the BBC to promote the new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, confirmed that a follow-up to Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystall Skull is in the works.

Previously confirmed by George Lucas, Shia said that, "Steven [Spielberg] just said that he cracked the story on it before I left and I think they're gearing that up" during the interview.

In the past, when asked the creator of the franchise had said he was waiting to come up with a story for the potential follow-up.  Sounds like everything is in place now.

George Lucas Confirms Possibility of New Indiana Jones Movie

There have been numerous rumors that there may be a follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yes, another Indiana Jones movie may be in the works.

Says who? George Lucas himself!

The director spoke to ComingSoon.net about the possibility:

ComingSoon.net: You had huge success this summer with "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Are you seriously thinking about another one? Harrison Ford's said there may be plans afoot.
George Lucas: Yes - we're looking for a "MacGuffin," which is an object that he goes after. They're very hard to come by!

Jackpot!

ComingSoon.net: Would you want to keep the whole family together for a film - Indy, Marion and Mutt?
George Lucas: It really depends on what it is Indy goes looking for and then how the story falls out of that, and then how convenient or inconvenient to have the group there

Karen Allen: Open to Another Indiana Jones Movie

Karen Allen returned to the Indiana Jones franchise as Marion Ravenwood in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Earlier this week, ComingSoon.net asked the actress a question on the minds of many fans: Is another movie in the works? And would she participate in it, if so?

Q: How open are you to getting the band back together one more time or perhaps doing something with Shia if there was a spin-off done?
Allen: I would say very open to it. This was a delightful experience and I would welcome it.

Q: Has anyone raised that possibility?
Allen: Not really, except for fans. I've had a lot of people ask if there's going to be another one, but not anyone officially. Do you know something that I don't? [Laughs]

Fans were excited to see Marion back in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Q: If there were to be a fifth movie would you do it because you want to SEE it?
Allen: I would just love to see where they would take it. I'm a fan in the sense that I'm interested in whatever George and Steven would come up with and whoever else they would bring aboard - David Koepp or whomever. I would just be interested in seeing where it does go from here. So now Shia is onboard and he's become this new and interesting part of Indy's life.

I'd like to see them do another one because I'd like to know what happens next… And I'd also like to see how Marion and Indy, what that marriage would look like. So here we'd probably be coming up with the next one that was '56 and '57 and so by the time they'd do another one we'd be in the '60s, and that was a kind of interesting and transitional time for marriages anyway. Women were becoming more like Marion and less like that kind of Doris Day of female of the '50s.

Shia LaBeouf Speaks on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Character

Shia LaBeouf recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly for a discussion about his character in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Mutt Williams.

Here are highlights from the interview:

Entertainment Weekly: What was it like meeting Harrison Ford?
Shia LaBeouf: He's the John Wayne of my generation, for sure. He's the quintessential movie star. And the fact that he doesn't really care is beautiful.

Mutt Williams

Your Crystal Skull character, Mutt, is pretty handy with blades and swords.
Steven and George wanted the character to have a switchblade. The thing became like a third arm. The floors are now disgusting in my house because there's all these knife gouges in the floor from me throwing the knife. I was on the Transformers press tour while I was getting my knives ready. So I'd take this knife with me to Italy and to Germany, and I'm trying to stash this switchblade in different places in my luggage so I don't get in trouble.

I've read and heard that you watched a lot of old movies â€" The Wild One, Blackboard Jungle, Rebel Without a Cause â€" to get ready to play Mutt.
I also remember Steven telling me to watch Red River, watch Montgomery Clift, and his cadence and his mannerisms and the way he dealt with John Wayne. That was my homework. George, of course, made American Graffiti and knows all about the demimonde of the ''greaser.''

Reel Movie Reviews: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

A certain movie about a certain adventurous archaeologist comes out this week. Perhaps you've heard of it: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

While the opinion of critics is unlikely to affect this film's box office take, it's still worth noting their view on Harrison Ford's foray back into the most famous hat and whip combination in the world. To wit:

- In spite of an over reliance on CG, and one too many obvious moments of George Lucas-involved tomfoolery, this is a great piece of studio-produced escapist entertainment... -- Dark Horizons

- One of the most eagerly and long-awaited series follow-ups in screen history delivers the goods -- not those of the still first-rate original, 1981's "Raiders of the Lost Ark," but those of its uneven two successors... -- Variety

The Crystal Skull!

- I can say that if you liked the other Indiana Jones movies, you will like this one, and that if you did not, there is no talking to you... --  Roger Ebert

- Even with the ponderous dialogue, there is considerable fun, and it's good to see that Indy, though slightly weary, still has the goods... -- USA Today

More Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Spoilers, Plot Details

While details of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull have remained mostly secret, the studio just sent over a new and revised synopsis for the upcoming adventure (check it out below, along with a series of photos from the film).

It begins in desert Southwest in 1957 â€" at the height of the Cold War.  Indiana and his sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) have barely escaped a close scrape with nefarious Soviet agents on a remote airfield.

Now,  Jones has returned home to Marshall College, only to find that things have gone from bad to worse.  His close friend and dean of the college (Jim Broadbent) explains that Indy's recent activities have made him the object of suspicion; the government has put pressure on the university to fire him.

On his way out of town, Indiana meets rebellious young Mutt (Shia LaBeouf), who carries both a grudge and a proposition for the adventurous archaeologist:  If he'll help Mutt on a mission with deeply personal stakes, Indy could very well make one of the most spectacular archaeological finds in history:

The Crystal Skull of Akator, a legendary object of fascination, superstition and fear.
