Once again, I must ask too much of you, Harry...
So states Dumbledore on the following international poster, recently released on behalf of Pictures' Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The wildly-anticipated movie opens in conventional and IMAX theaters on July 17.
Daniel Radcliffe has a message for Harry Potter fans:
He and his castmates aren't in this for the money.
"I hope everyone gets that we're all taking it seriously, that we're not just dossing. We're not making these films becase we have to, but because we want to make something great," the young actor recently said. "We're not going to put most of our year into doing something if we don't think it's going to be very good!"
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which opens on July 17, Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggles and Wizards. Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Cue suspenseful music!
Over the weekend, ABC Family is aired a few sneak peeks at Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Take a look at the first one below...
Despite its premiere date still seven months away, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is featured in a new USA Today article.
According to producer David Heyman, "it's different than the other films... It's not the non-stop action that some of the others are, although there is some action. It's more of an emotional film."
Frank Dillane portrays a young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. As fans know, he becomes He Who Shall Not Be Named.
As for how Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will play out, Heyman continued:
"We follow multiple stories: Harry's relationship with Ginny Weasley, Ron's relationship with Lavender Brown. … There also is Hermione's discomfort with Ron's relationship with Lavender. There's Draco Malfoy's story. And then there's Harry's relationship with (Hogwarts headmaster and professor) Dumbledore. We're following these multiple stories that enrich the canvas."

The following news may not comfort fans that are disappointed they'll have to wait a few extra months to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in theaters, but perhaps it will serve as a slight silver lining:
While a solid chunk of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 17 minutes, to be exact - was shown in IMAX 3-D sequences, there will be even more 3-D in the next installment.
Luna Lovegood has her 3-D glasses ready!
Last month, Rich Gelfond (the Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of the IMAX Corporation) told shareholders: "We believe this film will include approximately 25 minutes in IMAX 3-D split between the opening sequence of the film and the finale."

As Harry Potter fans know, Lucius Malfoy is serving a lifetime sentence in Azkaban when Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince begins.
Does that mean the character plays no role whatsoever in the next installment?
Not necessarily, actor Jason Isaacs told MTV News. He said his Lucius will briefly be seen in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
“I’m not [really] in the film [but] I did one day. I went in for a day. I’m a moving portrait on the wall.”
We know, we know: it sucks that the release date of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was pushed back from November 2008 to the summer of 2009.
But the time in between will at least give fans a chance to check out more images from the film. To wit:
