Emily Blunt Joins Cast of The Adjustment Bureau

Emily Blunt is a star on the rise.

After a couple of critically-acclaimed roles in The Devil Wears Prada and Charlie Wilson's War, Blunt has landed the female lead opposite Matt Damon in the upcoming sci-fi thriller The Adjustment Bureau.

As first reported by Variety, the actress will portray a mysterious ballerina that throws smooth-talking Damon's character - a sleek Congressman - into turmoil when she walks into his life, sending events spinning out of control.

According to Moviehole, Blunt will portray a pop musician who “may duet” with Russell Brand's character, Aldous Snow, in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy.

Reportedly, Jason Segel is writing songs for the sequel, which will likely focus on Brand's hilarious music talent. We can't wait.

James McAvoy and Emily Blunt are in negotiations to portray the title roles of Gnomeo and Juliet, a CGI-animated Shakespeare adaptation from Miramax and Elton John's Rocket Pictures.
