Eclipse, Peter Facinelli
Peter Facinelli is a busy man.
He stars as Dr. Fitch Cooper on the Showtime hit Nurse Jackie and as Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight Saga.
When the actor isn't brushing up on medical jargon, he's practicing his fighting skills, as Facinelli told OK! this week that shooting on Eclipse is about to commence.
“We start rehearsals tomorrow. We have two weeks of rehearsal and then a week of fight training," he told the publication.
Facinelli said the entire cast take part in the training. How come? Due to the movie's main storyline.
“What happens in Eclipse is Victoria comes back and she builds an army of newborn vampires which are freshly bitten vampires which are basically blood crazed and she’s trying to get this army to come after us so that she can get to Bella and so we team up with the werewolves to attack all these newly bitten vampires," he said.
As for what fans can expect in the third Twilight movie:
“Eclipse has more action in it and so I’m excited to get in there and have Carlisle roll his sleeves up a little bit and get into fight stuff.”

Rachelle Lefevre, Eclipse
Forget Team Edward vs. Team Jacob.
A new controversy is brewing around the Twilight Saga.
Yesterday, we reported that Rachelle Lefevre would be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the role of Victoria for the film Eclipse.
The studio, Summit Entertainment, cited scheduling conflicts as the reason behind the switch, as Lefevre is starring in Barney's Version this fall. But the actress has released a statement that claims she could easily have done both movies:
“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to Barney’s Version is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse.
Are you on Team Rachelle or Team Summit?
Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.
I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the Twilight audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me.
I wish the cast and crew of Eclipse only the very best.“
In response, Summit Entertainment says the actress never cleared her shooting schedule with anyone from Eclipse. In its statement, the studio wrote:
"Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project – which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment – makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
Twilight fans will soon have a new star to scream over.
Bryce Dallas Howard is taking over the role of Victoria from Rachelle Lefevre, whose committment to the movie Barney's Version made it impossible for her to begin shooting Eclipse on August 17 in Vancouver.
Lefevre portrayed the Bella-hating Victoria in Twilight and will do so again in November's New Moon.
"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, president of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions for Summit Entertainment. "Rachelle brought Victoria to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."
So, it will be Howard that seduces newborn vampire Riley, to be portrayed by fellow franchise newcomer Xavier Samuel in Eclipse. What do you think of this casting change?

Eclipse, Xavier Samuel
When it comes to casting the role of Riley in Eclipse, X marks the spot!
Little-known Australian actor Xavier Samuel has landed this key role in the third installment of the Twilight Saga. The movie will mark his American acting debut.
Riley is a college student that falls under the mysterious spell of Victoria. As a result, he turns vampire and sets out on a vital, dangerous mission: to kill Bella.
Even though New Moon doesn't come out until November 20, it's not too soon to focus on Eclipse. The movie expected to start shooting next month in Vancouver and is scheduled for a June 30, 2010 release.
