Ray Stevenson, who stars in the upcoming Punisher: War Zone, has joined the cast of The Book of Eli. He'll star alongside Denzel Washington, Gary Oldman and Mila Kunis in the drama.
Stevenson will portray an enforcer dispatched to kill Eli (Washington) as he fights his way across the American wasteland, protecting a sacred book that may hold the key to saving humanity.

Mila Kunis (most recently seen in Max Payne and Forgetting Sarah Marshall) has joined the cast of The Book of Eli, a thrilled that stars Denzel Washington.
The film focuses on a lone hero named Eli (Washington, of course) that must fight his way across the wasteland of a future America to protect a sacred book that could hold the key to saving all of humanity.
Kunis will portray a woman named Solara. At first enlisted to betray Eli, she eventually joins him in his quest.
Gary Oldman has signed on to co-star with Denzel Washington in Book of Eli, a post-apocalyptic action film scheduled for a January 15, 2010 release.
The movie focuses on a lone warrior (Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Oldman - most recently seen as Commissioner Gordan in The Dark Knight - will portray the despot of a small makeshift town who's determined to take possession of the book Eli is guarding.
Filming begins in February in New Mexico.
