As the rumors continue to fly about who will be playing the next Bond Girl - Mayrin Villanueva? Camila Alves? - we now have information on the villain in Bond 22.
We're told that Mathieu Amalric, a probable Oscar nominee for this year's The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, will step into the role.
Yes, it's time for yet another rumor surrounding the choice of the next Bond Girl in Bond 22.
We thought it was gonna be Cleo Pires. And, hey, it still might be.
But then we heard Moran Atias landed the role... and that also could still be the case.
Now, however, the popular choice appears to be Mexican actress Mayrin Villanueva, pictured below.
At this point, only one thing is obvious: producers are looking at very hot candidates. So who are we to complain?
Cleo Pires isn't the only actress in the running to play the next Bond Girl.
According to reports, Israeli model and actress Moran Atias is also a possibility.
Atias, who currently resides in Italy, has been spending a lot of time in Los Angeles recently. As she awaits word on this part, the actress is scheduled to begin shooting Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess with the Zohan in the near future.
In earlier Bond 22 casting news, we reported that Rafael Edholm was rumored to be cast at the villain to Daniel Craig's James Bond.
Now, word of the next Bond Girl is spreading - and it appears to be Brazilian soap star Cleo Pires, who won the best actress award in the Festival do Rio 2003 for her role in Benjamim.
MI6.co.uk, a James Bond fan site, states: "Pires was amongst the final group of actresses competing for the part. If reports hold true, the other finalists from Brazil are Guilhermina Guinle, Rita Guedes and the much-tipped Juliana Paes. It is understood that another round of tests is to take place in the coming days.
Israeli model and actress Moran Atias is reportedly the only non-South American actress left in the running."
Bond 22 is set to begin filming before the year is out. All the movie needs before then? A few more actors and actresses.
So, who is in the running for key roles, such as the main villain and, of course, the Bond Girl?
According to MI6.co.uk, "Swedish actor Rafael Edholm (pictured) is in contention for the role of the villain... Edholm confirmed that he will be screen testing for the part."
The 41 year-old actor also said that winning the role "would be really cool."
Meanwhile, Israeli model and actress Moran Atias is reportedly a finalist for the sexy role of Bond Girl, previously portrayed by Eva Green in Casino Royale.
"Last Sunday, she was called to the Sony Studios for a meeting with director Marc Forester. Five Latina actresses were also invited," reported MI6.
Forgive Marc Forster if he doesn't have too many answers regarding Bond 22 right now.
The director behind the next James Bond movie has been hard at work on another publicized project: the adaption of the best-selling book, The Kite Runner.
He recently told Comingsoon.net what made him sign up for such varying types of movies back-to-back:
"After doing The Kite Runner and being in this world and being in tents in Western China in the hardest conditions where obviously, you don't have any stars, so you're limited with your budget and what you can do," Forster said.
"Ultimately, the studio has to watch out for the commercial possibilities of the films, so doing a Bond film next is just a new challenge, something different. I always like - if you look at my films - I always like to do the opposite of what I just did."
Makes sense to us.
But what about the casting of Bond 22? Any news, aside from Daniel Craig as Bond, of course?
"No, I still have to do it all. I've been really focusing on The Kite Runner as well, so there has been no casting news, nothing."

Bond 22 was supposed to be the second to last James Bond movie for Daniel Craig.
But MGM chairman and CEO Harry Sloan says that's no longer the case.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sloan "called franchises 'the base of any studio,' which is why he signed Daniel Craig to do four more James Bond films after Bond 22 hits the theaters around Thanksgiving 2008.
In other Bond news: MI6.co.uk reports that Camila Alves is "under early consideration" for the Bond Girl role in Bond 22.
