Ready for another serving of American Pie?

Universal Studios will abandon its recent string of direct-to-video spin-off films and release a third sequel to the original comedy in theaters,  one that MovieHole speculate might pick up on the lives of now-married Jim and Michelle (Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan).

The franchise saw success with three direct-to-video sequels, American Pie : Band Camp, American Pie : Naked Mile and American Pie : Beta House, all of which featured Eugene Levy.

The Love Guru and Get Smart, both of which open today, aren't just comedies that make us laugh for various scenes and one-liners.

The mismatched pairing of main characters - characters played by Jessica Alba and Mike Myers in the former; Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell in the latter - is also good for a chuckle.

With that in mind, the Reel Movie News staff wondered about the three most unexpected couples in cinematic history. A trio of contenders follows...
