Amber Heard hits the silver screen again today, playing Penn Badgley's girlfriend in The Stepfather, but she's already hard at work on several other projects.

Collider.com recently got to talk with the budding starlet about her work in The Stepfather and her cameo role Zombieland. She dishes some interesting tidbits about those films, admits her love of horror movies and Hunter S. Thompson, and gives us a little taste of her involvement with Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary.

But Amber Heard brings the heat.

The actress poses for the August issue of Maxim, while also giving insight into her role in the aforementioned comedy. Here are excerpts from her interview:

Tell us about Pineapple Express.
Seth Rogen and James Franco play these potheads trapped in this comedy of errors, and I get thrown into the mix as Seth’s neurotic young girlfriend, Angie, who is horrified that he’s such a drug user. She’s very square. Looking at the two of them as a couple, you’re like, What are these two people doing together?

We’re going to take a guess and say things got crazy on the set from time to time.
Seth Rogen, James Franco, Judd Apatow, and me, working all-night shoots 14 hours on end? Tons of stories... just none I can tell you.

A pair of actors celebrate birthdays today, neither of whom is too well-known at the moment. But that's likely to change in the near future for both Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Amber Heard.

The former is finally prepared to shed is label as "Denny" from Grey's Anatomy, as fans of that show have known Morgan solely for his portrayal of Izzie's late fiance for months now. But with roles in The Accidental Husband and Watchmen coming up, the actor should become a big screen star by the end of 2009.

Morgan turns 42 today.

Heard, meanwhile, is really hot. Her only well-known feature film experience has been the fightign flick Never Back Down, but a role in Judd Apatow's Pineapple Express will certainly put this beauty on the map for more than just her looks.

Heard turns 22 today.
