Aaron Eckhart Teases the Return of Harvey Dent

Harvey Dent is DEAD. So read the original script for The Dark Knight.

At last night's Golden Globe Awards, however, Aaron Eckhart didn't exactly shoot down the possibility that Two-Face might return in the next Batman movie.

Here's the actor's laughable reaction when asked about that rumor:

Aaron Eckhart Backs Angelina Jolie as Catwoman

Angelina Jolie is yet to acknowledge any interesting in portraying Catwoman in the follow-up to The Dark Knight. Still, rumors abound that the actress is being considered for the role.

In response, Aaron Eckhart - who has a pretty good idea of how to create a successful movie in this franchise - has chimed in on the possibility of Jolie donning the famous leather, black suit. He's all for it.

"I thought that was a fantastic idea," Eckhart said. "When I read that, I felt like all of our records that we made [would] be broken if she did Catwoman."

Eckhart, Jolie

We don't know about that, but the casting of Jolie would certainly create buzz. As for his return to the franchise, Eckhart makes a good point:

"I think I died in the movie."

You did.

Aaron Eckhart Signs on for Battle: Los Angeles

Aaron Eckhart continues to move on from the role of Harvey Dent. The Dark Knight actor has agreed to star in Battle: Los Angeles, a science-fiction film for Columbia Pictures.

New A-Lister

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie revolves around a Marine platoon's encounter in the battle on the streets of Los Angeles against an alien invasion.

Eckhart will portray the platoon leader. No start date for shooting has been announced yet.

Aaron Eckhart Rumored for Jack Ryan Role

According to Moviehole, a new favorite has emerged for the role of Jack Ryan in another movie in the former Tom Clancy franchise.

Reportedly, Aaron Eckhart is at the top of the filmmaker's casting wish list.

Eckhart, Aaron

"He hasn't been offered the role – it's merely a thought at this stage, but he's a name that keeps popping up in relation to the part of Ryan, so someone over there obviously likes him," said a source.

Eckhart, of course, was most recently seen as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Dark Knight.

Aaron Eckhart Confirms: Harvey Dent is Dead

Sorry, Two-Face fans.

Aaron Eckhart has confirmed that his character in The Dark Knight is dead. Totally dead. Completely dead. The actor said as much to ComingSoon.net in a new interview:

ComingSoon.net: Is Harvey Dent alive?
Aaron Eckhart: No. He is dead as a door nail.

ComingSoon.net: So you were never signed on for another film?
Eckhart: No, I'm not coming back. I think unfortunately, Heath [Ledger] was supposed to go on and that didn't work out. I'm nobody. I'm a cog. I have no say over this sort of stuff. I'm sure that there's so many other characters that they could whip together. I heard Angelina Jolie was going to be Catwoman or something like that. I thought that was a great idea. I'd like to be in that one.

Aaron Eckhart: One Interview, Two Faces

It's safe to say movie goers can't get enough news from the cast of The Dark Knight.

With that said, here's another interview with Aaron Eckhart. The actor that plays Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the film recently spoke to The Wall Street Journal. Here are highlights:

WSJ: When you're acting in a comic-book movie opposite a guy wearing a caped costume, is it hard to resist going over the top?
Eckhart: I took a day or two to look around and see what everyone else was up to. Sometimes you're not sure what the tone of the movie is, especially if you have to be acting with the Batman or the Joker. Heath really set the tone of the film and how dark it was. Still, there were a lot of questions. How big do I go? Do we play it for laughs?

Aaron Eckhart

WSJ: Even if Heath Ledger hadn't died, people would be talking about his performance. What signs did you see that something special was coming from him?
Eckhart: I saw it the first time he started reading. Heath had gone to the wall to be in the picture. We'd have to do makeup at the same time, and he would really use that time to get into the character and do the voices. Everyone was aware of what Heath was doing. When Gary Oldman is paying attention, you know that something special is happening.

Aaron Eckhart Speaks on The Dark Knight

Aaron Eckhart Drops Details on Two-Face

In a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, Aaron Eckhart dropped some significant details about Two-Face in The Dark Knight. Here's an excerpt:

"I can tell you that, basically, when you look at Two-Face, you should get sick to your stomach. Being the guy under all that, well, that was a lot of fun for me. It's like you would feel if you met someone whose face had pretty much been ripped off or burned off with acid. I can't talk about it beyond that because I don't want to give away too much of the plans by [director Chris Nolan]."
