Bio

Viggo Mortensen was born in New York City and has been acting on the big screen since 1985. However, Mortensen's career didn't really take off until the late 90s with his starring roles in G.I. Jane, A Perfect Murder, 28 Days, and Psycho.

However, it was his starring role as Aragon in the Lord of the Rings trilogy in 2001 - 2003 that made Mortensen an A-list star. Since then he's been in Hidalgo, A History of Violence, and Eastern Promises.
