Philip Seymour Hoffman is an Academy Award winning actor that broke into the film industry in 1992 in Scent of a Woman.  He won his Academy Award for his role of Truman Capote in Capote.  After that he was nominated for a second Academy Award for his role in Charlie Wilson's War.  He's a very talented man and very deserving of them.
