Gary Sinise

Bio

Gary Sinise was born in Blue Island, Illinois and went to college at Illinois State University.   While in school, Sinise started the Steppenwolf Theatre Company with two of his friends.  Sinise's career took off when he directed and starred in Steppenwolf's production of True West in 1982.

On the big screen, Sinise starred in and directed the 1992 Of Mice and Men.  Sinise has also appeared in Forrest Gump, Snake Eyes, The Green Mile, Apollo 13, Ransom, and Mission to Mars.

Currently, Sinise stars in the popular television show CSI: NY since 2004.
