Forest Whitaker is an Academy Award-winning actor from Longview, Texas. Whitaker's first real part in film was a football player in the classic Fast Time at Richmond High. Since then he's had notable roles in the Color of Money, Platoon, Good Morning, Vietnam, Bird, The Crying Game, and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, and the disastrous Battlefield Earth.
Most recently, Whitaker is best known for his role as General Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland which won him an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, making him the fourth African American to do so.
