Bio
David Alan Grier was born in Detroit and earned a bachelors at the University of Michigan and a masters from the Yale School of Drama. This brilliant guy then went on to quickly land the role of Jackie Robinson on the Broadway musical, The First, and was nominated for a Tony Award.
Shortly after, Grier made his big screne debut in the 1983 Streamers. However, Grier soon made the shift over to comedy and starred in Amazon Women of the Moon and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka where he met director, Keenan Ivory Wayans. Wayans then cast Grief into his show, In Living Color, which became Grier's breakthrough.
With his new found fame, Grier began appearing in movies such as Boomerang, Blankman, Jumanji, McHale's Navy, and Bewitched.
