Bio
Amy Sedaris was born in Endicott, New York but grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. As an actress, Sedaris is best known for her role on the television show Strangers with Candy, which she co-wrote with co-stars Paul Dinello and Stephen Colbert.
The incredibly funny actress has appeared in several movies as supporting characters including Elf, School of Rock, Maid in Manhattan, Bewitched, and Full Grown Men. In 2006 she starred in the movie version of Strangers with Candy.
On television she has also made several guest appearances since having her own show, including Rescue Me, Monk, Sex and the City, and Just Shoot Me!
Amy Sedaris, like her older brother David Sedaris, is also an author.
