Alan Rickman may be best known for his role as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter franchise. But this veteran actor has been in the business for years.

Rickman actually wanted to be a graphic artist - but he won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at age 26 and spent three years there. HesStarted out in the theatrical version of "Dangerous Liaisons." First major film was Die Hard.
