Edward Cullen in New Moon: A "Hallucination Kind of Thing," Co-Star Says

As any loyal fans of the Twilight Saga knows, Edward Cullen is scarcely present in the book New Moon.

Bella is heartbroken by her breakup with the vampire, but soon realizes that dangerous activities - motorcycle riding, cliff diving, etc. - enable her to hear her former lover's voice in her head.

How will this be depicted on the big screen? It won't be easy, says Michael Welch (Mike Newton).

"They figured out a very clever way to get Edward back in the film much more than he is in the book," Welch told MTV. "It's tricky. I mean, [Edward] leaves for months. In the book, she just hears his voice. In the film, it's more of like a hallucination kind of thing. He will be [in the movie more than the book] for sure."

Millions of Robert Pattinson fans just let out a sigh of relief.

Inglourious Basterds Sequel: Already in the Works?

On August 21, Inglourious Basterds hits movie theaters.

Directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Brad Pitt, the movie is so anticipated that talk of a sequel is already in the works. At least if you ask movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

"Brad wants to do Inglourious II. We all want to do it. And the movie hasn't even come out yet," Weinstein told GQ.

So, what is Inglourious Basterds actually about? Weinsten said:

"It isn't funny; it isn't exciting; it isn't a realistic war movie, yet neither is it an entertaining genre spoof or a clever counterfactual wartime yarn. It isn't emotionally involving or deliciously ironic or a brilliant tissue of trash-pop references. Nothing like that.

"Brad Pitt gives the worst performance of his life, with a permanent smirk as if he's had the left side of his jaw injected with cement, and which he must uncomfortably maintain for long scenes on camera without dialogue."

Producer Hints at 300 Sequel, Revival of King Leonidas

300 spoiler alert: King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) dies at the end of the movie.

But in a recent interview with MTV, producer Mark Canton implied that the king might return for the inevitable 300 sequel.

“[The key to the sequel] is about getting it right, you know. [Writer Frank Miller] is a perfectionist, and so is [Director Zack Snyder]," said Canton. "And I think they set the bar pretty high.”

As for King Leonidas? Canton added:

“Never assume anything; never assume anything. It’ll be what it’ll be. But if we really do it, in this case, we have a visionary creator and a visionary filmmaker.”

Reel Movie Rumors: Bruno

Following Sacha Baron Cohen's role in Borat, viewers know what to expect from Bruno.

But while a few jokes, and numerous depictions of male nudity, may seem stale, we challenge anyone not to laugh out loud at the entire second hour of this comedy.

Considering the hot button topic of gay marriage, the movie even takes on more social importance than Borat, but let's not fool ourselves: there's a lot of penis and a lot of laughs.

Pictured: Eminem in Funny People

Judd Apatow's upcoming comedy, Funny People, stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann and Eric Bana.

The main actors will be joined by a number of impressive guest stars, including: Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Norm MacDonald, Sarah Silverman, Aziz Ansari, RZA, Dave Attell.

But a certain Detroit rapper stands out from the rest: indeed, Eminem has a cameo in the movie, which opens on July 31.

We don't know what his role will be, but MTV has released a photo of Eminem's tableside chat with Sandler’s character, a dying stand-up comedian named George Simmons. Check it out below:

First Official Poster for The Surrogates: Released!

Warning: surrogates are coming in September!

On September 25, Surrogates hits theaters. The movie is based on the five-issue comic book series by Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele.

It takes place in the year 2054, as a pair of detectives attempt to stop a techno-terrorist aiming to destroy “surrogates," which are widespread androids that sub for people in the real world, taking on any physical form they choose.

Jackie Earle Haley Signs on for Trio of Nightmare on Elm Street Movies

As filming winds down on the latest Nightmare on Elm Street installment, the new Freddy Krueger appears very comfortable in that iconic role.

In an interview with Bloody-Disgusting, star Jackie Earle Haley said he has signed on a total of three movies in this horror franchise.

Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release the new remake on April 16, 2010.

In it, Krueger returns yet again, still with a burnt face and still with a razor glove he uses terrorize teens in their dreams.

Danielle Harris Dishes on H2

In the upcoming Halloween sequel, Danielle Harris plays Annie Brackett.

She spoke to IGN this week about the story of H2. Where does it pick up from? According to the actress:

The opening actually picks up probably about two hours after [Laurie] shoots him, from the last movie. There's a bunch of stuff in the hospital as well. And then it will smash cut to two years later. Laurie now lives with Annie and Sheriff Brackett, because her parents are gone. We have a very interesting relationship two years after. [Fear Clinic's] Susan and Annie are kind of similar.

Both characters have sort of evolved into [being], like, odd, self-righteous, sensitive but never knowing it, because they've been through such traumatic things in their lives.

On H2, this terrible, horrible thing that happened two years ago – cut to how it affects you. Maybe that you're not wanting to come out of your house. Maybe never getting out of a bathrobe. Not wanting to be that feisty, sassy, spunky I'm going to date guys [girl]… After you're attacked by somebody, that kind of goes out the window.

Opening This Week: Public Enemies, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

In a perfect example of counter-programming, the two new movies that opened this week stand in stark contrast to one another. Here's a bit more about each:

Public Enemies
Stars: Johnny Depp, Christian Bale
Quick Synopsis: The tale of real-life bank robber John Dillinger and the FBI Agent tasked with capturing him.
Prediction: A let down. It won't overtake Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen or the movie below.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Stars: Cartoon animals
Quick Synopsis: The third installment in this surprisingly popular franchise.
Prediction: Will challenge Transformers for the top spot. There are a lot of kids out there!

Revealed: Tony Stark's Iron Man 2 Racer

Little by little, plot points for Iron Man 2 are leaking out.

We know the theme of the sequel will focus on Tony Stark's admission that he is, indeed, Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. has also promised "twice the action" in the follow-up than in the original.

Now, as a mini-spoiler, Road & Track has a published a photo of Stark's GP racer from the movie. Along with posting the picture, the magazine writes:

This is the Stark Industries-sponsored vintage race car that the movie's main protagonist will be driving in a scene that depicts him racing in the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, a vintage race held in Monte Carlo. The scene is not being filmed on the actual streets of the tiny, glamorous seaside principality near the south of France, but on an elaborate set that replicates the Monaco circuit.

Iron Man 2 comes out on May 7, 2010.
