• Reel Movie Reviews: Hellboy II (8/6/2008)

  This film was smooth from start to finish, never letting up in quality of sight or sound. the plot was intriguing, and the character development complex. The hero and villan are not all good or all bad, but a truly human mixture of the two. Del Toro managed (as he usually does) to make us laugh, cry and shiver all within a five minute span. This is not an easy task in the overdone CGI world of todays greatest blockbusters. If you haven't seen the Orphanage, go rent it. It showcases too Del Toro's unique ability to really pull an audience in with a myriad of emotions in tight time frames.
  

• One Man's Admission: I Didn't Like The Dark Knight (8/6/2008)

  Just as a side note to all those taking this personally...a review is an opinion, and we are all entitled to an opinion. The 'get your facts straight' and 'you don't know shit' comments show nothing but unbridled arrogance, and immaturity. As far as the 'true to the source material' quip...Rachel didn't exist until Nolan used some creative liberty, so don't give us that bullshit. This unique, and fresh spin on Batman was true in some ways to Kane's vision, and drastically different in others. I personally didn't care for the film, but it was worth watching. Just because I don't agree with the general public doesn't make me deaf, dumb, blind, or less of a fan.
