Ben Affleck Might Join Cast for New Mike Judge Movie

Ben Affleck is in talks to star in Mike Judge's upcoming comedy, Extract.

The actor would portray an ambulance-chasing lawyer in the film, which centers on a flower extract factory owner (Arrested Development's Jason Bateman) who's dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife's affair with a gigolo.

Judge - the man behind Beavis and Butthead - wrote the screenplay.

Daniel Radcliffe Grows Intense for Final Harry Potter Film

As Harry Potter fans deal with the fallout over the next installment in the franchise - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - being pushed back to July 2009, star Daniel Radcliffe is looking far beyond that release date.

He recently told MTV News that Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows will be far different in tone than any of the previous films in the franchise.

“The dark parts are with Dumbledore and Voldemort and his influence on things, and the light parts are very, very fun stuff with Ron and Hermione. Jesse Cave, who plays Lavender, is just brilliant. We had a lot of fun."

No release date has been set yet for Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows, but it's been confirmed that the final book will be split into two movies.

Kevin Smith Praises Watchmen Movie

As fans of Watchmen pray the movie is actually released in March - a lawsuit is brewing between Fox and Warner Bros. - at least one director has already seen the comic book adaption.

And he loves it.

Kevin Smith - who was invited to see the film at Zach Snyder’s invitation shortly after Comic-Con last month - has posted a rave review for it on his MySpace account. The writer/director, who's next film is Zack and Miri Make a Porno, wrote:

I saw Watchmen. It’s f---ing astounding. The Non-Disclosure Agreement I signed prevents me from saying much, but I can spout the following with complete joygasmic enthusiasm: Snyder and Co. have pulled it off.

Remember that feeling of watching Sin City on the big screen and being blown away by what a faithful translation of the source material it was, in terms of both content and visuals? Triple that, and you’ll come close to watching Watchmen.

Terminator Salvation: Look to the Title

In the market for a few Terminator Salvation spoilers?

Director McG (pictured) told MTV News that the best advice he can give fans is to analyze the title.

“Even though we may sin ultimately we deserve a second chance,” McG said, referring to the inspiration behind the name of this franchise reinvention.

Just like Termintor 2: Judgment Day, which alluded to the choice a Terminator must ultimately make, Terminator Salvation relates to the actions of a specific character, McG said. He wouldn't specify if that was John Connor (played in the new franchise by Christian Bale).

“Sometimes life is worth living when you make sacrifices so others may benefit,” the director told MTV.

How forbodeing...

Tyrese Gibson Will Be B.A. Baracus

There may be no date set to begin shooting on the Jonh Singleton-directed A-Team movie - but when the former teleivision show is adapted to the big screen, you can expect Tyrese Gibson to be a part of it.

And the former model has made no secret about the role he'll take on.

“It’s B.A. Baracus,” Gibson confirmed to MTV News. “I haven’t officially signed on — everything is still on standby — but the conversations coming my way feel right. I’m gonna try to put my touch on [the character]. I mean, I got the muscles!”

Those muscles will be on full display in Tyrese's next movie, Death Race. It opens on August 22.
