Release Date Set for The A-Team

The rumors are truly a reality: The A-Team movie has been given a release date.

Look for Hannibal and company to hit the big screen on July 12, 2009.

The film, based off the 1980s TV show of the same name, will be directed by John Singleton from a script by the writing team of Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. Casting for the film hasn't been announced, but Woody Harrelson and Ice Cube have been rumored for two of the leads.

For those somehow unaware, The A-Team follows the exploits of a team of ex-special forces soldiers who go on the lam after being accused of crimes they didn't commit.

Reel Movie Reviews: Drillbit Taylor

reel-reviews-logo45.jpg Drillbit Taylor is the latest comedy from the wild mind of Judd Apatow. It stars Owen Wilson and looks at least moderately funny.

Do movie critics agree? There's just one way to find out. Let's ask them! Replies follow...

- Do you hear that? That shrill, shrieking sound coming from your local multiplex? That would be the Judd Apatow machine slowly, steadily winding down after humming along so brilliantly for so long. -- San Francisco Chronicle

- It's hardly worth going on at much length about the movie, a disordered, dispirited shuffling of flailing-to-be-funny and trying-to-be-empathetic scenes. -- Entertainment Weekly

Drillbit Taylor Photo

- A dispiritingly mediocre tweener comedy from some very talented people who appear to be experiencing a delayed sophomore slump. -- The Austin Chronicle

- You've got to hand it to Owen Wilson. He has an uncanny ability to delivery the loopiest of lines without losing credibility. And there are a bundle of loopies in this off-beat comedy. -- Urban Cinefile

Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons Join Cast of Jennifer's Body

Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons have joined the cast of the dark comedy/horror feature Jennifer's Body, the follow-up to Juno by writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman.

Cody's script centers on Jennifer (an always-hot Megan Fox, pictured), a cheerleader possessed by a demon who starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her bookish best friend (Amanda Seyfried) must take drastic measures to protect their town.

Brody will play Nikolai, a hot lead singer of an up-and-coming rock band with a penchant for evil. Simmons plays Mr. Wroblewski, a high school science teacher.

The Graduate

We added the 1967 movie, The Graduate, based off the novel by Charles Webb, that marked Dustin Hoffman's premier on the big screen.

The Graduate is a landmark of a movie and has had scenes that have often been imitated (the intro to Jackie Brown) and often parodied (Wayne's World 2). In 1995, the movie Rumor has it, they even have a character that claims to have inspired Charles Webb to write The Graduate.

Enjoy the lines from the somewhat awkward The Graduate in our quotes section. Enjoy some of the best cinematography in the following pictures.

Judd Apatow Teases Anchorman 2

It's hard to take Judd Apatow seriously when it comes to, well, anything.

But the mere mention of an Anchorman sequel has the Reel Movie News staff giddy, so we have to at least post Apatorw's recent comments to MTV.

"The movie that probably has a best shot at a sequel is Anchorman. Ron Burgundy would be hilarious at 70-years-old, being the anchor," the writer/director mused of what films on his resume might demand to be revisited.

Ron Burgundy Picture

Come on, you cant tell us the sight of an elderly Will Ferrell, still boisterous and conceited, warm milk dribbling down his now white beard, doesn't make you laugh out loud. Make it happen. Judd!

"Yeah," Apatow laughed, "We all think it would be fun to see him up on his feet again doing what only he can do. That would be awesome " but it could only happen in 30 years."

Write in now and share your thoughts: Would you watch an Anchorman sequel?

The Forbidden Kingdom Photos, Quotes Added to Site

The Forbidden Kingdom looks like a lot of fun.

Starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li, this flick won't be short on action, that much is certain. As usual with Chan movies, though, there also look to be a few funny one-liners. We're compiled a couple already on our quotes page for the film.
