Superman Returns takes place after the original Superman movies. Superman left Earth for five years to try and find his home of Krypton after astronomers have located it. After finding it destroyed, he returns to Earth to find a bitter Lois Lane who has remarried and has a son. Lex Luther is back and out of prison after inheriting the money of an elderly woman he tricks. Lex Luther hatches a plan to create a new continent using Kryptonite that will destroy North America...
