Blazing Saddles

Summary

Blazing Saddles is Mel Brooks' Western spoof. The town of Rock Ridge, where everyone's last name is Johnson, sits in the new railroad path after the old one ran into quicksand. District Attorney Hedley Lemar seeks to snatch the land from the citizens of Rock Ridge, and sends a band of henchmen to ransack the town and kill the sheriff. Upon requesting a new sheriff, Lemar convinces the governor to send the first Black Sheriff and comedy ensues.
