Albus Dumbledore is Harry Potter's mentor. He's more than just the headmaster at Hogwarts; he's a grandfather figure to Harry.

Dumbledore has a history with Voldemort and sees the potential in Harry long before anyone else is.

Dumbledore is gay and was in love with his rival, Gellert Grindelwald.
