Opening in theaters on November 25, Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Road is brought to life by director John Hillcoat (The Proposition), Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Robert Duvall, and newcomer Kodi Smit-McPhee.

In the film, humanity is left to pick up the pieces after an unnamed cataclysm lays waste to civilization and law and order are put aside for dog-eat-dog survival. Hillcoat brings the bleakness of Cormac McCarthy's words into reality with some wonderfully drab imagery.
