Prince of Persia star Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly in negotiations to star in the sci-fi thriller Source Code for Vendome Pictures and The Mark Gordon Co.
Moon director Duncan Jones (A.K.A. Zowie Bowie) will helm the film, which focuses on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.
Jones has reportedly postponed his planned follow-up to Moon, the futuristic Berlin-based Mute, in order to develop Source Code as his next project. Shooting is expected to begin the first quarter of 2010.
