Spider-Man 4 Finds New Screenwriter
An Oscar-nominated screenwriter will try his hand at penning Spider-Man 4.
According to Variety, Gary Ross has come aboard to rewrite the screenplay for fourth film in this franchise.
The publication says the deal is the result of his "growing relationship with Sony," as opposed to the fact that he's previously worked with star Tobey Maguire on Seabiscuit and Pleasantville; though we're sure that relationship can't hurt.
Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios hope to start production on Spider-Man 4 before the year is through.
