Will Michael Bay Return for Transformers 3?

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura was asked about the future of this franchise.

Would a third movie be made, even if director Michael Bay does not sign on for it?

Here's what di Bonaventura had to say about that possibility:

As the producer I'd certainly love to see him back. I can't imagine Transformers without him. I guess the studio will see it sometime as such a big asset that they are forced to do it, but Michael has never intimated anything like that - the timing is the big question for him, not whether he is going to do it or not.

G.I. Joe Sequel: Already Planned!

So far, reviews for G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra have been less than stellar.

Still, those behind the movie appear confident about its success: a sequel is already in the works.

At a press conference in Australia director Stephen Sommers and the cast were asked if they were locked in for a sequel.

Sommers replied with enthusiasm: "Yes they are," as the actors next to him nodded their heads, and the director concluded the response with: "Next summer!"

Sounds like that's when shooting will begin. Sommers better hope the original, which hits theaters on August 7, is a success.

Reel Movie Reviews: The Ugly Truth

The Ugly Truth is atrocious.

This is an unfunny, unromantic comedy that manages to insult both genders with its cliches and sterotypes.

There's little else to even say about it. Go read our full The Ugly Truth review to see just why we hate the movie so much.

An Early Look at Tony Stark in Iron Man 2

In the latest edition of USA Today, the newspaper has released one of the first images from Iron Man 2.

It's a shot of Tony Stark in his custom-made racing suit:

Meanwhile, the newspaper talked with a number of people associated with Iron Man, as they gathered for the annual Comic-Con festival in San Diego.

"We were an underdog," Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige told the publication. "People didn't really know Iron Man, fans weren't sure Robert was right to play Tony Stark. We had doubters. Now there are a lot of eyes on us. They're expecting bigger things."

Gwyenth Paltrow, who plays the newly-promoted Pepper Potts in the sequel, was asked about any change in her character's relationship with her boss this time around.

"One day they have me getting together with Tony, one day they don't," she said. "It's kind of cloaked in secrecy, even from me."

Sam Raimi to Direcct Warcraft Movie

Sam Raimi has signed on to direct the wildly-anticipated movie based on the world famous Warcraft video game.

"Partnering with Sam Raimi exemplifies [Legendary Picture's] mandate of marrying the highest quality intellectual property to world-class filmmakers" said the film studio's CEO, Thomas Tull. "Sam's passion for 'Warcraft' is undeniable and we know that he will create an incredible film worthy of Blizzard's phenomenal franchise.

Raimi is best known for having directed the Spider-Man trilogy.

Nicolas Cage Rumored for Role in The Green Hornet

This is one movie rumor we hope does not come true.

Nicolas Cage is reportedly in negotiations to play the villain in next year's The Green Hornet, opposite Seth Rogen as the masked crime fighter.

This casting news follows talk that Cameron Diaz is in talks to portray Rogen's love interest in the film.

Roles will need to be filled soon, as producers are aiming for a fall start date. The studio must also replace Stephen Chow, who withdrew as the sidekick Kato earlier this month.

Not a great star for such a highly-anticipated comic book adaption. The Green Hornet is still planned for a summer 2010 release date.

Official Poster for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: Released!

Following our previous photo of Jake Gyllenhaal in the role of Prince Dastan from next year's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, we've uncovered the first official poster for this future blockbuster.

The video game-inspired movie opens on May 28, 2010 and also stars Gemma Arterton as a princess that teams up with Gyllenhaal's Dastan to stop the end of the world. We hope they're successful.

Noot Seear: Model New Moon Casting

Last week, Xavier Samuel was announced as the latest Twilight Saga hottie. He'll play Riley in Eclipse.

Now, the franchise is welcoming another beauty to its cast, as Candian model Noot Seear has nabbed the key role of Heidi in New Moon and is signed for at least one film in the series beyond that.

Seear has posed for a number of major fashion brands, such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. New Moon will mark her acting debut, though director Chris Weitz assures fans:

“We wanted someone who had an unearthly and unlikely beauty, but could also convey humor and menace. It’s rare to find a stunningly attractive person who also happens to have the ability to act.”

In the book series, Heidi is an evil Volturi vampire. Her dangerous talent? The seduction of human prey.

It's not difficult to imagine Seear pulling this off.

Filming Wraps on Iron Man 2

It's official:

Iron Man 2 has completed principal photography, according to Marvel.com. The sequel shot for just over two months, mostly in and around Los Angeles.

"Shooting Iron Man 2 was a fantastic experience and we couldn't be happier. Although there were many challenges in making this film, having Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Gwyneth Paltrow and almost the entire crew from the first film back on board, allowed us to hit the ground running as everyone was instantly familiar with each other from day one," Marvel Studios honcho Kevin Feige said.

Iron Man 2 comes out on May 7, 2010.
