Miley Cyrus to Star in Wings
Has Miley Cyrus found her very own Twilight Saga?
The teen icon will star in the teenage fantasy film Wings, based on Aprilynne Pike's young adult novel, according to Variety.
The movie will focus center on Cyrus' character of Laurel, a 15-year-old girl who has trouble fitting in after moving to a big city. How come?
Because Laurel is a fairy.
Wings is actually the first part of a four-book series. Sound familiar?. The cover is also quite basic, reminiscent of Twilight and the subsequent novels in that franchise. Check it out:

The book is great good fantasy adventure and its not like some tinkerbell fairy crap. Miley is huge so no doubt it will do well at the box office lets hope they get a good director who is good with fantasy films! Miley has yet to prove she is a good actress I have only seen her do comedy but I think she can pull this off.

Miley Cyrus? You gotta be kidding me. No offense, she does not fit Laurel. In fact, Miley's too famous, I mean she should just stick to Disney Channel. The movie's ruined!(sorry) I mean it's not fair that a girl like Cyrus who's like everywhere should play this movie. It's as if movie producers hire Robert Patterson for almost every movie as the leading male character. I mean, I would like a person who's more fairy-like, like Taylor Swift (I heard she auditioned for it). Seriously, Disney should hire someone new that will set a new trend in movie making.

no miley cyrus! it should be like dakota fanning or that blonde girl that was in bridge to teribithia and race to witch mountain or even taylor swift! but not miley she's horrible at acting!

well i love this book and i really, really don't want Miley Cyrus in it.Miley is not a good actor and i hated that movie what was it "hannah montanna the movie", OMG get a life your a singer don't act please ( any try not to sing). Anyway she dose not fit the part of Laurel.

honestly stop judging miley on what you see on the outside, just because you have seen her everywhere and she's really famous doesnt mean she cant pull it off, or wouldnt fit the part of acting. when she gets into this character its going to be different from hannah montana or the hannah montana movie. she's going to be playing a different character and you guys havent see nher act in anything else to even judge if she can act in a drama/fantasy so please think about the posibilities for the fillm if she was in it.. more publicity and a chanc efor her to prove to the world that she isnt just hannah montana or miley cyrus but an actress.

Miley is soo terribly wrong for this in every way. I agree it should be the girl from Race To Witch Mountain or Dakota Fanning even Taylor Swift. But any true fan of this amazing book will be going crazy hearing this news, she is not Laurel and if I see this movie by some unlikely chance I will always imagine someone else as Laurel, Miley is HANNAH MONTANA! She is going to bring all her younger fans to the love and make it cheesy and sappy... how on earth could they ever choose her?!
